As some of you mAy know I'm on the hunt for an a3 tdi with the looks of an s3,I've been and looked at 5 so
FAr And today was the biggest joke of them all , after a good hour on the phone talking about this "mint " a3
I decided to arrange to have a look today , the problem being this one was in Leeds and I live in Luton,
So after getting the funds together I booked a coach as this was " the one" .
Well I'm glad I booked a return , it had scraths on every panel and it was on 99 thousand miles and not 85 odd,
What a waste of my day , coach fair , energy, and the fun of sitting on a coach doing 60 for 3 hours each way,

Sorry to hear about today fella. But you will find most of the S3 replicas on the internet for sale are dogs.
Why not just get an A3 and do it yourself? Few members have done the full conversion.

Honest replica.

There's the problem, right there ;)

...Seriously though... I think the advice above to buy a good car and do any upgrades yourself is fairly sound. You're more likely to get the car you want. Just remember though, if you stick S3 badges on it, we'll ban yo *** :moa:

You will no doubt already know, but do make sure you do the free VOSA check before buying your car, its quite suprising what you can uncover, and in your case could have saved you a trip, as it would have possibly shown up inconsistencies (depends when it was MOTd) with the sellers version of mileage etc!

Rob speaking to truth:laugh

But on a serious note i'd personal not buy any replica. I'd rather just do it myself so i know it will be done to a high standard.
Most replicas around will either been written off before or had a very hard life.
How much are you willing to spend? What year, miles, engine and spec you after?
I'm sure we could find you a decent standard car and you could buy the conversion bits off ebay there some for sale.

Well 9k is my budgEt , and I would like the car all done for that money,
Do you reckon that is do able

am i right in thinking the only way these scum can get away with it is if they clock it and then get first mot?. dont know why people are like that we all dont like loosing money selling out cars but hey its life
