Not a typo mate, it's a special type of textured lino basically, but looks just like wood. Good stuff, waterproof and soft to walk on.

The house, well what I can do anyway is now done. Waiting on carpets, various furniture and other stuff to be delivered.

Got some curtain poles and the TV bracket to fit, and blinds etc etc. but all the decorating and big stuff is now done.

I am well happy that it's done now, I am knackered though.

6 weeks of hard work has gone into that. Every night basically.

Looks good dude, nothing like looking at a job well done. You doing up to live in or to sell? Laminate flooring is the bain of my existance as no floor is ever perfectly flat, dont get me started on the threshshold strip that always requires the door being chopped... Good luck with that lol.
 
Looks good that welly, loads of effort gone in looking at the pics. Now crack the beer and put Yr feet up ;)

not much, shopping, house work and playing games. Nothing amazing mate.

It's easy really, just drink in the pub rather than "the secret place" - but drink a bit more responsibly; it was just looking a bit like you could only cope with two sips and a sniff of the barman's apron before getting lairy, that's all.

...Only playing, with a bit of luck my next one will be another dervburner - I seem to be on a rotation (smoking again?) and it's diesel's turn next time, plus petrol is getting ever more difficult to justify with the amount of miles I get through.

I guess I've always been a bit of a night owl (or it might be that I just don't like mornings), but I've not slept properly since Christmas.
...There's probably also value in my being up late, because if I make the server run out of blue smoke, there are fewer people around to upset(/notice)!

So was the food worth the fallout (no literal pun intended)? Gotta love a bit of Mexican food, and I was quite impressed to find in Chiquito (while living in Wales where it's mostly Brains) that they had Boddingtons on draught - bonus!

ah ah Robs fishing again....you little tinker, no i was just asking welly to but his house renovations in the ASN shed as thats where it is more fitting....pardon the pun.....
you are right we have a secret place, its called the "fishermans arms", as not to upset the powers that be on here aka yourself,

If we could have a chatbox or similar, coded for members that would be great, instead of keeping it to yourselves....:p.....end of the day nobody likes getting banned and we all like a laugh, ok sometimes a bit lairy, so something you would consider sir Rob?..:)

I guess it stopped being quite so secret a couple of pages back, but anyway, my post was just to say that it's not that we don't want any laughs, but fishing, and later mod-baiting aren't on. There is middle-ground though.

Ours has been retired now, hopefully there won't be as much need for war-room style communications in future.

I'd not forgotten Scott's suggestion/request, but we're quite busy developing some other stuff just now. It's an idea that we're open to, but in all honesty we need to figure out how anything like that might work in practice. OK, we can relax rules/restrictions in such an area, but there'd still have to be hard limits as I'm sure you'll understand (legal/moral etc.) - if we can settle that issue it becomes more a real possibility. I'm open to sensible suggestions which might expedite things.

Great, we are are not a bad bunch of guys and i will say for everybody that this is a great site, nobodys doubting that, we just need a chill out/let your hair down place, that is lightly scrutinized...its only banter at the end of the day, and we know at least some mods love to get involved.....Its your site Rob your decision...maybe you could be landlord?....:sly:
So get your chat box open i will volunteer to be a mod :)

hopefully it will fly over for me, somehow the machines tend to play up on a weekend and require lots of t.l.c, making it fly over!
