Anyone know if i can fit this stereo?

Hi guys..
I was planning on doing a double din conversion and have bought a stereo .. only to realise the connector on the back is the quadlock type.. My car is an early '06' so doesnt have this.. does anyone know about a conversion cable from anywhere?

i am sure there are threads on here of conversions. have a little look but i am sure there will be. some one went from a consert ( slim one) to rnse so i would have thought either audi or after market company can help.

Yes you can buy adapter, but your issue maybe the antenna system as if its a later concert 2+ then antenna may not be compatible fully with.

If need a fitter give me a shout.

Lol, Nige, we had this convo on another thread last week. As his model is an early 2006 "06" the antenna should not be a problem on the concert2+ or similar. As I upgraded to 2010 RNS-e in my 2006 and get perfect reception. As you explained to me, it was the 2007 models onwards that needed an antenna upgrade.
So dazza should be ok with the quadlock adapter and diversity lead.
I am sure you will correct me once again if I am wrong. Lol!

As I upgraded to 2010 RNS-e in my 2006 and get perfect reception. As you explained to me, it was the 2007 models onwards that needed an antenna upgrade.

Uh no mate sorry, this is the other way round as he wants to fit a newer concert with an earlier antenna system, reverse of the rns scenario, if his is an early 06 car, that means he has the rns antenna system, whereas the newer concerts use the alternative antenna system which will not give him (with this specific antenna system) the best radio reception.

Hi guys.. right a little update.
My unit arrived which is a Concert double din cd player with the chrome dials. I tried fitting it with an RNS-E style wiring adapter but i cannot get any life? Any one have any ideas what it could be?

Down south mate, but there are many members on the vcds map who would maybe help in your area, N8 is in Manc, maybe ask him or buy vcds
