Ahh thank you your a star, basically, ive go the stock wheels on at the moment, 18" 7.5j, ive tried the TT black edition 19" Wheels which are 19x9j (Genuine Audi TT 19" Alloy Wheel Upgrade TT/TTS | eBay) but they seem to scrape on the inside, whats the best thing to do if i want to fit 19"s?? Or you think 18" will still be ok?? Thank you!!
 
Yeah im pretty interested on what offset/tyre size is recommended on 19x9s. I want lip outside and tyre inside arch though ;)

I think they are ET52, Although to be honest im not entirly sure what that means :ermm:
 
I went through this thread other day & I have to say, there's actually relatively low amount of actual wheels pics, afterall its a rimz thread, can this thread be cleaned up & maybe keep it as purely for pics of Rimz, just scrolling through page after page of chit chat when all you want to do is look at wheels on the cars, is a little bit imho stupid, in the end I gave up, doesnt really achieve the goal of the thread IMHO.

I like that idea. Have this as the wheel advice/chat thread and have a new purely pictures thread (that encourages just pics and specs - ie size, width, offsets, tyre sizes).

I think the thread is achieving its aim, people can ask questions or just post photos. Two threads is not really an option otherwise we would have to have 2 stickies for the same topic, not going to happen I'm afraid.

I agree with Staz as there is alot of info that you can learn from this thread... but then again i agree with Nigel that it takes forever to see the actual pics of the rimz here and so wastes so much time trawling through!

Over on Xda-developers.com they have a little paperclip icon besides the thread names so that when that is clicked you can see what attachments have been posted onto the thread. now i know we are not actually uploading files and images onto the threads and we are just linking it via

I think that would require a hack to make work. Even it's possible it's not something that I would want to suggest to the Admins as these hacks can quickly become more hassle than they are worth from what I understand.

A real 'Stance' thread is needed.. Post pictures of Car with wheels, Name those wheels, size, et, suspension, tyre size.

Maybe that could be integrated into the post pics of your a3/s3 thread though

Don't think that they are oem just happened to come across them on ebay. Do look sweet wheels even if they are reps

Was thinking either those or BBS CH/CK's in silver and in 19inch variety

I also have 225/35/19 tyres already, would these be ok on an 8.5" rim?
 
Perfect size for 19's with 8,5J. Have the same on mine and are not too streched
 
Don't want to start a new thread about wheels so asking here.
Will bbs ck's 18x8.5" with ET 45 fit on a S3 with standard suspension without any spacers?
Tyres 225/40/18. Maybe someone here running the same?

Get the TTS ones on ED38 9j will look alot better than S3 ones which are only 7.5j and the TTS ones come with tyres. Faz is open to offers :happy:
 
Won't be just yet but would 9J fit? I though 8.5J was all you could go before it rubs (may be completely wrong)

Naa i'd say 9s would be fine. It all depends how low your gonna be.
Plus if you get any rubbing at the rear just remove those inner arch screws :happy:

Guys does anyone know where i can get a set of 19" Staggered LM Reps? Been looking but cant find anything thats staggered. Obviously originals would be an option if i wasn't a student. But fact of the matter is i cant afford originals, just thought i'd get that in before i start getting slated for buying reps. :undwech:

LMs were never made for an A3 fitment .you will struggle getting them .Why not buy my 9j Genuine BBS Speedlines ?£700 bargin
