Hi!

Can anyone tell me where i can get a Forge Twintake CAI for the best price on the market including delivery to Slovenia EU!?
The car is Audi S3 2.0TFSI 8P2.

Thank you!

I know of 2 companies where you are guaranteed to get a great deal. I bought my Forge Twintake from Damian at DPM Motorsport (member on here) for £310 including delivery (UK of course). You should PM him and see if he can help out. The other company is GNJ Motorsport (also member name) who I believe stock this item and are very competitive and very happy to help! Hope you get a bargain, ..it's well worth every penny!!! Paula x

I Couldnt wait any longer,so i ordered Twintake directly from Forge!
£343 for CAI and £56 for delivery!

It was not a bargain but i hope the system is worth it ;)
Thank again Paullie and Boydie!

I just recieved email from forge;

Your order will be 4 to 5 weeks im sorry as we have had to send the pipes off

4-5 weeks??? that's absurd :/
What do you guys think i should do,cancel the order or.....

Give GNJ above a call and see if they have them in stock, silly price from Forge anyway.

That's a LOT of money!!! I'd cancel if I were you, dude. As Paddy says, try Graeme at GNJ_Motorsport. It will certainly be cheaper than buying from Forge (even with a discount code, ..I've bought heaps of Forge stuff in the past, but only from other suppliers or if Forge are doing a Group Buy) and even if it does take a few weeks, it won't cost you nearly as much.

No probs Graeme, ..I didn't know about your company before I ordered my TwinTake, otherwise I would definitely have bought from you. x

I just emailed them and canceled my order,Still waiting for confirmation!
The main thing is that i need Twintake as fast as possible!

The 17HP seems spot on to me :D

Ok,tell me your side of story ITG vs. Forge Twintake!?

I'm not buying it for the looks but for performance only!

Main reason I went for the ITG was because of Revo.

I had my car revo'd 2 years ago stage 1 and had a good lengthy chat with Carl about their ITG'd K1 Cupra Leon.

They had an Evoms intake previously and the K1, as far as I remember, was the guinea pig for the ITG intake. They told me it was pulling 4-5g/s more air than the evoms which is roughly equivlanet of 3-4bhp (going back 2 years now and my memory isn't the best lol).

Plus, they developed their software to include this intake and going by popularity on here and VAGOC, it made my decision very clear. Plus, being and engineer, I like the mechanical look to it and its aesthetics.

It sounds amazing, proved on rolling roads that it does the job, got it for a great deal and couldn't be happier with my decision.

As people have said mate the ITG is just as good if not better than the twintake, downside is it doesn't look as good. I will have allsorts of Forge parts fitted to my S3, twintercooler, recirc valve, hoses etc etc but I have the ITG fitted to my S3......

The carbonspeed intake you list says 10% increase in Torque !! thats 30lb/ft on my Stg1 revo.........Are you sure thats right ?? its only a replacement airfilter box ??

I wouldnt consider the twintercooler to be honest, there is a really good write up on here regarindg the pro alloy intercooler I think which totally replaces the standard cooler.

If carbon speed can get 10% from changing the material they make the air box from a CAI should be worth 50% at least...:)
Dont believe the hype.

I think everyone knows the Carbonspeed is just a pretty looking airbox. We only quote the info the manufacturer's send us when listing products unless we have first hand experience of using them. Hence me recommending the ITG.

It is actually something I need to look into a bit more to be honest. I have read conflicting reviews on both ways of upgrading the intercooler set up on these cars. I like the twintercooler design and I like the idea. I guess I need to decide just how far I want to go power wise before deciding which route to take.

It adds extra weight ;)

I am on stage2+ at the minute and having spoken to revo last weekend about FMIC's they said the standard cooler, for Ireland anyway, is sufficient but I can only benefit from having one if you know what I mean.

Couple of threads on FMIC's

THS vs Pro alloy | VAGOC.co.uk

Thanks, I think I have read that before, some good info there.

Not sure if you have ever held a twintercooler but they don't weigh much at all. I am sure the single cooler option is better all round though, less weight as you say, more efficient due to less pipework etc. A lot of Leon Cupra & Golf GTI owners fit the better S3 alongside the twintercooler though with very good results.

If you do go with the Twintake, I recently ordered one from orangetuning.de (emailed them directly) and got mine for 325Euro (with 48 Euro shipping to Australia).
I'm sure shipping will be much cheaper for you in the UK.

In saying that, I know orangetuning received the package straight from Forge UK then forwarded it to me in Australia so perhaps they can arrange for Forge to send it straight to you at their prices.

Guys, are all ITG Maxogen's the same or they are two different versions-left handed and right handed driving?

I received an email from REVO,they forgot to update their website!
ITG Maxogen is now suitable for left and right!

I finnaly ordered now the ITG Maxogen and they have them in stock,
so delivery to my country will take 3-5 Working days!

They gave me 15% off so the price is £326.40 and delivery costs £29.99
I think it's a good price.

Any thoughts on the K&N Typhoon kit?

I read somewhere about K&N bad effects on MAF sensor.
Maybe someone else will tell more.

Guys,on friday i'll be fitting ITG!
What should i expect from the ITG?
My car is totally standard at the moment and the Maxogen will be the first mod (under the hood).
Will the result be better than the standard box or not?

Oh,is fitting difficult and can i find a DIY somewhere?

Thanks alot guys!!!

I have the itg cai it sounds amazing your going to love it ohh yes...

Hi get the forge diverter value in there ....:rockwoot:

I can't imagine it being much of a difference from a, for example, evoms cai...?

As I stated further up the page, I had discussions with REVO 2 years ago when I had my S3 mapped stage 1 regarding intake options. They had the Evoms kit in their K1 Cupra and were approached by ITG to trial their new intake. Revo found that the ITG pulled more grams/second air that the Evoms which equates to 3-4bhp extra. Win win for me IMO!

Sound is awesome - like darth vader imo! Go onto youtube and Decked off the site has a video of his Stage2+ S3. Add the Forge DV and you will not want to come off boost! Addictive noise lol

Fitting is handy enough - quite tight around the right hand side of the engine and can be a bit fiddlely above the turbo but I am sure you will be grand!
