Hi All

Thinking of trying a different tyre and a little confused as to what to go for.

(55 reg ) Front tyres have about 1000 left on them, rears a little longer. Current set is Bridgestone Potenza RE050.
Size 225/40R18 (92Y), I think I got about 15000 out of these (maybe a tad more). Would be nice to get a few more miles from my tyres, even though I drive so much for work and play, but happy to try a more 'performance tyre' with the same wear ?

Car has been remapped by Vagcheck. Loads of motorway and urban driving, with those days when I certainly drive in a more 'spirited' fashion, so want something that sticks to the road, come sun, rain or snow !

Suggestions very welcome.

Many thanks.

I run Michelins on mine, good performance and last 25k miles normally....

No mine are the Exalto's which are no longer made as I think the PS3 covers all. The PS3 is a good tyre I expect and is what I would buy if I had to change mine for any reason. I had PS1's and 2's on a couple of BMW's and they were good.

Vredestein ultrac sessanta for me, done about 5k and are looking good.

Reasonable compromise between price and performance if you ask me.

Mine came with bridgestone potenza's and I really like them.. Done nearly 9k on them and going strong..

25K for a set of tyres, thats a good result audicruiser is it because it's a quatro ?.Mines half way through its third set and I'm just coming up to 50k. I'm no boy racer by the way !!
1-Originals, Continental
2- Michelin pilot sport
3-Continental

I've got a few thousand left on the originals on my S3.
Coming up to 17k soon, will be getting some PS2's (if I can find any) just in time for winter.
PS2's are quieter and better grip than 050's but a tad more expensive.
I'm not really fussed how long they last but PS2's have been good wearing in the past.

No problem has anyone tried cosco for michelin tyres ?

Best tyres by far are Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetrics orAssymetric 2's which have just come out, not too dear as tyres go £115 I've got a S Line Quattro 2.0 TDI and I've got them on they last well and offer good grip in wet and dry Camskill do them for cheapest price. Hope this helps.
