jesus what is happening to this place?
what has happened to it?
where are all the people and the funny posts of a while ago gone?
well, i think i know, and is this,
once upon a time, there used to be a great hang out place called "the pub",
you used to get lured into the place by scantily clad young ladies, and once inside you were blown away by the witty and humerous banter in the posts that went on in there, there were topless bar maids, nuts on the bar and even free satelite tv for you to view!
then all of a sudden,
a couple of the new comers decided to get drunk (heck it is a pub after all) and caused a bit of mischief, but no harm was caused, and nothing was broken and got themselves barred! (naughty boys!)
after that, the pub was just never quite the same in internet land!
all of a sudden the scantily clad women were gone and replaced by small men with chips on there shoulders, telling you there is a dress code now,
the topless bar maids were banished and replaced by grumpy old men with a sense of humour bypass who wore corduroy pants and had beards,
the witty banter had all but pretty much dried up, except for the regulars, who needed a place to go and escape the mrs now and again,
the nuts had gone, (health and safety hazard), somebody could have there eye out on one of those,
the satelite tv was replaced with bbc houses of parliament channel in order not to offend anybody,
and everybody who swore had to stand outside and swear in the smoking shelter with the smokers!
there was no alcohol served anymore, just tea and coffee,
all in all a pretty gloomy place now and people decided to stay away!
well thats my slant on things anyways!
perhaps if the grumpy old men with beards and chips on there shoulders had actually been to a pub they would actually have some fun!
instead of policing the area like a prisoner of war camp or such like!
" dont do this, you cant do that, we dont approve of that" etc etc
come on chaps loosen the grip a bit! around the clock supervision and punishment is not really cool is it!
the pub was fine for over 260 pages, and i for one, only newish here, took the time during my time off work in the summer to read every single post before contributing to this great thread!
if it aint broke etc etc....................
right there is my speach done, when am i getting banned for this outburst mr rob?

Not you at all mate.
Just some people mate.

I try and sit in the middle of most things but when I see rules being over looked for people but not for others it tends to get my back up.
I like all people to be treated equally but time and time again i've noticed that is not all ways the case. I enjoy it here and like the people, so I like it wash over my head and enjoy my self.

Its just the recent events with in this thread/section has lead me to believable that some pub members have been picked on (that sounds like such play ground talk) more than none pub members, just because of where they tend to post most.

I hope thats not the case and just a coincidence.

Off to the mother land tomorrow to say the final farewell to my granddad and then back to work for a 5 hours and then home for a week off.
