Ok so there's been a few posts of home improvements and such, like Crazy's Lurve Nest, Scott's paving and welly's going to have a fair few thing to whack with the new house so i think we need an ASN Shed. Somewhere we can show off our efforts of things we've done that's not our daily. Could also be a place to post up help requests or how to's. No doubt there's plenty of peep's on here in most trades to help a brother out. Anything goes really.

Ill kick off, last month me and jimmy built an office in the corner of the unit, not the most exciting thing i know but they'll for now. i'v got some pics from when I pimped my bosses garage ill dig out and get them up at some point.<br>

Ok so we started by knocking up the frames

then we boarded it on the floor for ease then screwed it in place with some frame fixings

I Pulled in the 2.5 twin and earth power and Cat5e Data Cables While Jimmy started on the joist hangers

Then boarded the other side

Inside

We then we used 4"/2" joists and joist hangers for the ceiling support and boarded that.

Then we Taped & filled the joints with gypsum joint filler

As always when your trying to do something everything comes at once, so we'v just been too busy but will get around to it soon.... hopefully.

Pics or it didn't happen!! Haha. That sounds like you did a good job there dude! I take it that's for the wrapping business? Must be going nicely if you need an office.

I'm just gonna upload my latest pics as we've just finished the room ready for the carpet tomorrow. Back in a jiffy...

Here they are. Wardrobe door handles still to fit but it was a tad late by the time we'd finished to drill the doors.

Oh, and is gypsum joint filler basically plaster but for thicker stuff, bigger gaps etc? Like the bonding coat? Ive never heard of it before so thought I'd ask

And now there's a specific thread for this stuff I can upload pics of all my crap I've done over the last year since we moved in. The garden was a big project. I'll try dig out a few pics. No doubt I'll bore you all :)

In a way yeh. Its not our unit dude it belongs to a mate of mine who does auto electrics, phone kits, AV that sort of thing He also does bespoke stuff too like Onyx and Overfinch. He also does quite a bit on the wrapping side and we've been freelancing to him for a while now so when I mentioned about putting our own name out there, we talked and then moved to the unit next door to accommodate us all as it was wider. Still wrapping for him but bringing our own cars in as well. its good for us as it means no mahoosiv start up overheads. So as a thanks for helping us off the ground me and Jimmy threw up the office.

He's a good mate so favours for favours and all that, plus he brings us some nice motor in to touch ;)

WORST
THREAD
EVER

I joke, will be interesting to see all the DIY done by the ASN crew. I put up some bathroom fixings and a utensil holder the other day, bot no pics. If I can be bothered I'll put some up

i moved house recently and built about 100 pieces of furniture from IKEA does that count? lol

i agree, you need new saucepans to go with the new kitchen.

Ok here's a bit of an odd one but really not something I normally make. This was a little project to make a new house (shed) for two of my pets. We had to keep it a little bit smaller than I wanted but the garden isn't big enought and the cost of the wood was killing me....

This was the basic frame It's about 20feet long 10feet wide and 10feet high

Looks a bit better painted and by the time the roof was on and the mesh on the front you can hardly see them :)

Pets!! What the he'll do you keep??

Elephants ;)

Haha I like that. Looks like we have a spare room too! you could have a sleep over dude ;)

Do it Damo.
Lets get some pets on the go. :)

Admin, Thats some nice birds you got there.

A pet thread will be closed within weeks, when some bright spark shows off the beaver that they 'own'

I would love to get a Euraisan Black Vulture Next

460px Aegypius monachus

The Eurasian Black Vulture is believed to be the largest bird of prey in the world. This bird has a 98–120 cm (39–47 in) long with a 250–310 cm (107–122 in) wingspan and a weight of 7–14 kg (15.5-31 lbs), and is thus one of the world's heaviest flying birds. Not sure what the car will make of this one. It already has a bit of a hard time with the other 3 :) But I have already pick out a name for it.... Ethel :)

Sweat! we have a plumber ;)
How much hot water dose it give.

Iv been after building one of these for ages but not had the time:(
