went to Audi today to collect some parts, looking forward to fitting them

Pic consists of bolts, oil pump, pickup, 16mm rear ARB from a 4motion golf plus bushes and bits, steering oil coolant pipe and finally replacement bulbs for the centre brake light

lol, i think you will find you stole my idea, maybe

im not sure when im gonna fit it tbh, in theory its fairly straight forward so maybe this week if i can get all my customers to **** off and leave me alone

it would be nice if it was less windy too

Yeah it is mate, just drop the rear heat shield and lower the exhaust a little and away you go.

wow we had the same idea at exactly the same time, what are the chances eh

aye i was planning to drop the back part of the exhaust to change the clamps in the middle at the same time as the bolts are almost none existent and it blows when cold

how is ur rear heat shield attached btw?

16mm? Surely that's about the same as the S3 one isn't it? I fitted a 19mm to mine.

the standard one on the S3 is a 15mm, I didn't want to go upto a 19mm as I am pretty happy with the handling of the car, although I think with the wee tweak at the back of the 16mm bar and the new bushes will make it just right

well that's my opinion anyway

How much was the ARB if you don't mind me asking

the bar was a mere £42 +vat i think and the bushes £4 +vat each pretty cheap wee upgrade if u ask me and still keeps the almost oemness of the car hehe

damn, he gave me the wrong thing then, any idea what size of nuts as the ones on mine are pretty rusted?

yeah i noticed on ETKA there are 2 listed for the S3 a 14mm and a 15mm, i used the calliper devices on mine and they seemed to think it was a 15mm
