actually, quite a few of the downhill riders do. I think Gee atherton wears spd's (or an equivalent).

It's more gay that you're scared of being clipped in :moa:

Plus, when commuting mainly on roads SPD's are ace. I hate using flats for commuting. My MTB has flats though, personally I haven't got the balls to hurtle down a muddy hill clipped to my pedals :)

Thats spot on to be fair.

I've just bought flats and Shimano shoes for my MTB, for that very reason!

Bird, rabbits, cars, wheels and now bikes.

Yeah, i reckon that hurt a lot. lol

If we're talking cool downhill clips though, this wins hands down every time!!! Slightly unsafe for work commentary, but awesome video.

Being clipped in for road use is fine as long as you read the road ahead and can unclip in time. When I use the SPDs on my mountain bike I get scared and I have come off a couple of times too.

I've seen several people fall off their bikes when stopped cause they forget to unclip.
it really makes me laugh.

yeah that is a cool clip! that lads got big kahunas!
personally though, there was a clip about 20 or so pages back and i forget who posted it, of downhill street racing in brazil! now thats the best downhill clip ever! just wish i had it to link up!:aggressive:

Think of the time you'd save!

I'd need to buy a new bike every day as I'm on this:

Just had a bath and watched the F1 highlights.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no Schumacher fan. But I ****ing hate Hamilton, he's just such a moaning, talentless little girl. He couldn't pass Schuey' because he hasn't got the minerals, Button steps up to the plate and smashes him. Grrrrr.

Haha, you can't have worked in the cycle trade for 6 years and not know the best video's haha!

Umm...

oh dear!
my avatar has gone!
just as i was about to change it for something less annoying!
please can i have my ball back mr admin?:crying:

Lets discuss this over a pint, AGU engine with 300bhp and 22/24psi. Who thinks you need rods?

Whhaaaaasssssuuuuuuuuuuuppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp!!

I've got half an hour or so, so thought I'd pop in and see what's cooking, homies.

where in the rules does it say "thou shall not have fun/entertaining avatars"?
It doesn't - we could probably all have fun trying to make, and trying to find gaps in, an exhaustive list of rules; but it'd waste an awful lot of everyone's time, and we hope that not every situation needs to be set in stone.

To be fair, fun/entertaining are generous after the first few views - I'm not certain about the risk of triggering seizures in those with photosensitive epilepsy (although I don't suppose it could be ruled out), but it certainly got a bit distracting/annoying; so, rather than have a moan I thought I'd have a grin...

But when this:

...was replaced with another mad flickering crazy thing, I just flicked some switches :ninja:
[EDIT: Not a ban though, just closed off some profile options/functions a little - forums all still accessible]

please can i have my "the one and only" bit back aswell please mr rob?
(when i grow up i want to be a mod)
If you click settings (top of the screen) and Edit Profile (*I think* - if not, general settings or something) on the left, you can change put it back there.

Cheers :beerchug:

Rob.

I feel its lost some of its apeal.
