that coulde be it! i like to put or know i can put a foot down as and when i wish!actually, quite a few of the downhill riders do. I think Gee atherton wears spd's (or an equivalent).
It's more gay that you're scared of being clipped in

Thats spot on to be fair.
I've just bought flats and Shimano shoes for my MTB, for that very reason!
Plus, when commuting mainly on roads SPD's are ace. I hate using flats for commuting. My MTB has flats though, personally I haven't got the balls to hurtle down a muddy hill clipped to my pedals
This is steve peat
Being clipped in for road use is fine as long as you read the road ahead and can unclip in time. When I use the SPDs on my mountain bike I get scared and I have come off a couple of times too.
thats the fella! OUCH! that stack at 2mins has got to hurt!
and your probably right! (keep your hair on)Mate i'm cycling to work on the road not going down flights of stairs! I think SPDs will be ok

Lets discuss this over a pint, AGU engine with 300bhp and 22/24psi. Who thinks you need rods?
His account/profile was locked cause of his avatar?
WTF?the powers that be struck me with a jolt scott!
Fishing rods?
James, JoJO?
It doesn't - we could probably all have fun trying to make, and trying to find gaps in, an exhaustive list of rules; but it'd waste an awful lot of everyone's time, and we hope that not every situation needs to be set in stone.where in the rules does it say "thou shall not have fun/entertaining avatars"?
If you click settings (top of the screen) and Edit Profile (*I think* - if not, general settings or something) on the left, you can change put it back there.please can i have my "the one and only" bit back aswell please mr rob?
(when i grow up i want to be a mod)

To be fair, fun/entertaining are generous after the first few views - I'm not certain about the risk of triggering seizures in those with photosensitive epilepsy (although I don't suppose it could be ruled out), but it certainly got a bit distracting/annoying; so, rather than have a moan I thought I'd have a grin...
But when this:
...was replaced with another mad flickering crazy thing, I just flicked some switches
