Its Ewan as in McGregor but without looks, acting talent or money LOL

Just need to take up playing the guitar - that will keep your nails short enough to not scratch the piano trim

Do do have a nack of getting stuff & then have to wait before what seems like forever before getting them fitted? LOL

Hehe, I won't forget Ewan - as in McGregor - promise . I am quite musical actually, play keyboard, flute and clarinet, ..gave guitar a try a few years ago, but couldn't find a hole to blow into, so gave up in the end! Playing keyboards, I've never had nails that were too long though. I tend to collect a few bits and pieces mods-wise and have them all fitted in one go. I am up for having a go with fitting certain things myself, like my rear lights, TT MK2 vents and my B pillar covers, but I'm not too confident at the thought of taking the door cards off, so might have 'my guys who do for me' fit the window switches. I'm not good at patience and want things done yesterday, lol. x

Im planning the window switches too after seeing them on MartinVWs

TBH, door panels are easy, hardest part is removing the piano/alum trim without damaging it but if your sensible its not hard ie bit of plastic or a cloth over a screwdriver etc.

Have also got some new window switches with the chrome bits on and the mirror switch to be fitted.

Are these the switches as in, MY11 wing mirror switches with the chrome? if so how much did these set you back if you don't mind?
I sat in a colleagues MY11 BE and didn't actually realise till then how much better the little touches were than my MY10 BE.

Hey Paul, it's the MY11 ones with the chrome bits on, that won't peel like the earlier switches. I hadn't seen them for sale - or fitted to anyone's car - until I saw them for sale on Ebay.De, so I bought them from there. Postage was a bit steep though ad then I found out you could buy them from Stoke Audi without th high postage charges from Germany. Mine cost me just under £90, but I believe you can buy them for around £65 plus postage for the set of driver's door switches, the passenger switch and mirror switch, which isn't too bad for what they are.

If you're still interested in buying my MK2 RNS-E please let me know, Buddy as the person with first dibs has had another big bill for his S3 and is unable to buy at the moment. If not then no worries, I'll be popping it up for sale in the Classified section later on. Cheers! x

Well after waiting a whole week for some stereo removal keys to arrive, I finally got my nice new 2011 RNS-E fitted and coded up this afternoon. Haven't had time for any pics quite yet, but will get some up very soon. The hardest part of the swap over was getting the original one out of the dash. I already sold the original headunit to Rhymesaka (thanks Paul!), so in order for him to get his RNS-E sooner, I tried to source some stereo keys locally in Halfords, but they didn't have any. I tried another auto parts place in Aberdeen and they were able to sell me only one pair of Audi keys and a set of 'universal keys' for European cars, but all that combination did for me was give me stingy cuts similar to paper cuts along my right and left index and middle fingers, but no removal of the RNS-E!!! The correct keys showed up this morning though, from Lithuania of all places, which explains the week they took to arrive, lol. I wore gloves to give it a go today and the unit came out of the dash no probs, this time. Coding was a breeze too, had to set the language, the S3 start up screen, the telephone coding (77) and the Radio and Navigation coding (56 & 37), but all worked first time! I rescanned everything after fitting and no fault codes or anything, so well happy. xx
