Just jumped on the Audi bandwagon and bought a black sports fsi 2.0 8p1 shape.

I've seen a full 8p3 front end for sale that comes with:

:BONNET
:BUMPER (COMPLETE)
:GRILL
:SPOTLIGHTS WITH GRILLS
:X 2 HEADLIGHTS
:X 2 WINGS
:SLAM PANEL
:RAD PACKS*
:A/C RAD PACK
:SLAM PANEL*REINFORCE*
:BONNET LOCK

Now I just want to know 2 things:

1: is that all I need for the conversion
2: how much on average it will cost to fit and respray all that
3: are there any bodyshops in the east midlands that will do this, rang around and most people saying there not interested

I dont think you need the rad packs or slam panel .Theres plenty of people who have done the conversion on here digz RS etc .i think you need to change some modules for lights .You will also need the wing mirrors with the indicators in IIRC .

Oh okay are they bodyshops or just individual people?

Just want to see how much it will cost to do really to see if it's worth it, seen the thread for the s-line conversion and that was all donefor around £500, I'm looking at 500-700 just for parts :/

I've just did the 8P1 to 8P2 conversion, parts cost me 200, fit and rwspray cost me 180, if you can get someone at a good price i would say you're looking between 200-250 for respray and however much for fitting, the money is worth it if the conversion is what you want to do

You're probably talking about my conversion. What I paid to have mine done could be a bit misleading because I was lucky with a lot of the prices I paid. Also mine was an 8P2 sport to 8P2 s-line so I didn't need too many parts.

But as Lingy says, speak to digzz, he has done the 8P3 conversion. He did tell me how much but I can't remember what he said. I think it was a couple of grand though.

And if you have trouble finding a bodyshop where you are it might be worthwhile travelling down to london to have it done. Its a mission but I can recommend a few down here, including the bodyshop that did mine. If you can pay cash they'll give you a good discount.
I got nearly £200 off the cost by paying by cash. That's about a 40% discount.

Which parts did you need?
Front bumper, bonnet, grille, fogs n surroundings?
That price seems very reasonable.

If the 8p3 conversion is a couple grand can't really justify that, might aswell do an 8p2 conversion buy an rnse , spoiler and alloys lol

Sorry to double post but also I need my car for commuting and the cost of transporting the parts all the way to London aswell as driving there kind of long lol

Yeah, it would be a proper mission. But then if you could make a big enough saving......

But yeah, I couldn't be ar*ed with that either.

Ads,

which are of london are your recommended body shops in?

Yea, i paid 100 for bumper, 120 for a brand new bonnet from imperial parts, and 160 for respray with fitting, just baught some fog lights for 40 and some surrounds for 30, you could probably go cheaper on parts but i feel i got a good price on the respray, mine looks 100% better for the conversion.. Good luck!
