ASN's Pub

Who's the old guy in the shades driving it mate?

I joke, car looks good and track looks nice and clear

This was on the Friday when we arrived and it wasn't as busy. I only had enough fuel for 1 lap so waited until Saturday which is when it started getting busy. In hindsight I wish i'd done 4 laps on the Friday now :banghead:

For a minute I thought that was Tom cruz with aviators ;)
Nice pic that dude get it on the garage wall!
Did you manage to get a vid of Yr second lap??

how much juice were you using for that clear lap then?

I bet you wish you had a derv, then you could have done loads of laps whilst having no fun at all

Nice mate, I might have a read through that thread and see if I can find any other worthwhile quotes from one of the 8P boys.

It turns out that the app for my phone only works on the iPhone 4 so I didn't get any video :(

When I went on I had quarter of a tank and the DIS said 100 miles till empty. When I cam off the DIS said 25 miles till empty :faint:

Just think of all that time saved not having to visit a petrol station to fill up all the time = more fun, oh and of course all the money saved = more beer :moa:

Why do you think all the top LeMans teams are using diesel power = the way forward, must remember to suggest it to BE for F1 - LOL

If we arrange another ring trip, I'll have to get some serious GT5 practice, although you can't beat actually going around the track.

Just how good is GT5 for accuracy Westy? I know that times are slower in real life as you don't have the forces acting on you, or the danger factor, but I'd imagine it helps to just know which way the next bend goes.

About 9 and a 1/2 minutes mate..

What do you reckon on the new sig, too much?

I ment distance you tool ;) but thanks all the same'

Sig looks great dude every' think every 8l'r should have one hehe

I know, I was being a sarcastic Cnut :o.k:

I was thinking about going for the 'gets left behind by most cars' but that puts the 8L down, as lets face it, i struggle to keep up with traffic in mine, and it's running about 220ish bhp, imagine what it's like in a 210 s3? Must be getting over taken by mobility scooters..

not sure which bend that is but it could be a before or after check to make sure the track has not removed any more colour from his hair.

I got some toys.

Low & Slow
You got the slow, now you got the low.

Not causing them, but adding fuel to the fire. We're buddies outside the pub, I think? Did you have a read of the thread?
No.
What thread?

I've not read much on this forum apart from the pub and the B5 section.

Still waiting on Crazy to do some fishing.

Yeah. got the list and parts already, just need to pay and then he can bring them up to ADI.:)

You gits!

Reesey, GT5 is reasonable accurate and I found it much easier this year compared to last year as I knew the track. I shaved off 40 seconds from last year and felt a lot more confident.

The guy who crashed and killed his mate on Sunday obviously didn' know the track because he was on the wrong side of the tarmac for the up and coming bend, got his line completely wrong, lost it, and rolled the car 3 times!

Will be cramming GT5 then, if all goes to plan..
Did the driver snuff it as well, or just his mate? Sounds pretty gruesome, but you've gotta treat the ring with restecpa.

I think you'll find we only went fishing :whistle2:
I just don't like being called an idiot nor a Chav because I choose to run an 8l instead of racking up x amount of credit on a sline with an s on it's *** ;)

The driver and front passenger lived. The passenger in the back had no seatbelt on and was thrown out of the boot, along the armco and 20 metres into the forest. Prawny was one of the first people on site and said the images will stay with hime for life. He was very shaken up to say the least!

Driver surviving always seems to happen.. Partly passengers fault for not having a belt on, but why go 3 up around the ring, unless your just going for a plod? I'm nott surprised, that sounds ******' gruesome at best..

Apparently first time on the Ring, didn't know the track! The driver might end up going to jail as it's the drivers responsibility t make sure all his/her passengers have belts on.

I've seen a couple of really bad RTAs when I've been out with my dad and took me ages to get over the images.
One of the worst was having to watch the rescue crew try and save/rescue the people in the car in front of you and you can't do any thing about it.
All you can do is get out of the cab and walk away or go in to the bunk to try and sleep.

I hope he's ok.

Is there a thread about your ring trip?

Hi. :)
