You have already commented on here how you drive. I wouldnt know if it was an S3 or a 1.8T also?

If i get someone smoke me from the lights while i pop to the shops, i will know it was a car i could have bought, but didnt as it was inferior to my version ;)

Jules, Jules, Jules,Why dont you put your brain into gear before you enter things on the keyboard, a few posts earlier you said you would not race, now look at your post above about the rs focus, who probably thought you were a bit of a knob, so wasnt even trying....

From standstill i dont, its pointless and you look silly. I never stated 'i do not race', keep up

The RS was trying, it was damp and he went backwards, oh and he initiated it, so not sure why he would have thought i was a nob? As did another one (a friend of a friends) who was 100% trying one sunny afternoon on a quiet stretch of road ;)

A slow rolling pace then flooring it upsets the DSG. A DSG remapped S3 will ruin your highly modified S3 from standstill.

As before, get my quote saying 'i do not race' i said i dont go about racing, if someone wants a bit of fun i will comply if its safe. Launching from lights is very different to a 30-70 on a motorway ;)

I'd like to know how you claim the RS3 is a bodge? It's basically an RSTT underneath! Audi didn't really need much R&D to get it together did they? It's what the public wanted, so they delivered, and they was practically all sold out before they went on sale!!

Is that before or after you remove the pipe and slippers?

And you shouldn't be slowing down to 30 on a motorway, nor should you even need to drop to 30mph on the slip road, unless there are tailbacks, in which case it isn't safe to race..:busted_cop::busted_cop:

I have always wondered this as well, the RS3 actually looks different to the standard 8P, but I think it's a jealousy thing. :lmfao:

I just think if you are going to spend a small fortune making half the front end out of ally because the engine weighs to much in a car that under-steers already. You could better spend that money on developing a new car and not try and remarket an 8 year old design as something state of the art. Why else launch a new performance model of a car your going to phase out next year anyway other than to compete with BM and use up old parts..........and yes they sold out because they only made 200...lol and quite a few of them are up for sale already again

Welly car is an animal and the sound! :wub: But thats like me saying why dont one of the 8Ls try Dans big turbo S3 or Alex's? Dan's S3 well over 500bhp and i think Alex runs his most of the time around 450bhp.
Stage 2 + 8P S3 will run around 360bhp and there loads of owners on here running stage 2. Who probably wouldnt mind having a race will Welly. I could name one or two "cough cough" Paolo or Rye ;) :laugh:

Agree with the above . 8L and the 8P has there good and bad reasons. I think we would all agree we rather be in either of the two than maybe a honda civic type r or ford focus rs.

Looks like the 8L 'chavs' are going to be watching the football, whilst the 8P owners look at someway of 'manning up' their cars :lmfao: :undwech:(apart from Tim, but he's got 8L blood in him..)

Progress does exist of course, but at what cost? i think i will def have an 8p s3 once they hit sub 10k, but i wont get rid of the founder....for what price they are fetching, it will always be with me, for the fun weekend...
I am just one of them people who cannot justify more than 10k in a car....i will leave that up to the "must have the latest plate brigade"
of witch i am greatful, some people dont seem to mind losing thousands in a couple of years....
