Shark remap - doing the maths

As there is a deal on with Shark til Monday, I can get a Stage 1 (320BHP) for £299; bargain! Checked with Privilege and they want another £220 ish for the remaining 9 months of my policy.

The question is....

How much better is the fuel economy if anything? Given that people get 25 MPG ish and I am doing 10K miles per annum - I reckon that's about 400 gallons of fuel a year. An extra 2 MPG will save me 30 gallons a year or about £190 thus justifying the insurance hike in my mind.

What do you reckon?

That's the kind of maths that convinced me to buy my S3 instead of a MkV Gti (well, it's only £5k more for that R32 I saw, but I'd rather an A3 3.2, but the difference up to an S3 - what I REALLY wanted - accounting for lower tax and fuel cost, is made back within 2000miles... or something along those lines).

I reckon go for it. If you bother putting the effort in to convince other people it's going to be good value, then you must bee keen to get it done.

As for fuel economy dont get your hopes up as I can't help but put my foot down lol

Although on the work run these last few days my DIS has read 31mpg instead of my normal 29

Get back to your insurer !! I added Revo stg1 2 weeks after i took out the policy and it added £65 to the premium and that was with Audi insurance which is not cheap !!!!

That's a cracking deal and from my conversation with the Guy who actually writes the software for Shark at the burger stand whilst enjoying Cheryl's offerings - too good to be missed.

I liked both his approach to tuning and also his responses to my questions, all his focus is on linear and safe power delivery which can be replicated time after time opn dyno or in real world driving etc.

An impressive set up and one to watch for the big boys out there as I believe Shark performance will do very well indeed as past history has already shown.

Dude, don't bother to justify it just do it, really wakes the car up in a positive way

Cruise control fitted Weds
AP racing 4 Pot kit & remap Thursday.
Millteks latest 2 piece downpipe (development) fitted Friday am.

The car is now an animal and a real LOL experience everytime I floor it, spent a lot of money but all easy to justify from the smile per mile factor, pics real soon....
