ASN's Pub

Morning all.

Sorry to hear you're still full of cold (manflu) Sandra.

Good news on the two job prospects - choices.

Cycled in this morning as it is nice and Sunny here on the River Hamble, mind a risk of getting wet on the way home - but that doesn't matter as we can shower / change at home.

Admin day for me - got to tidy up and box my old / spare ADSL kit round the office - boring.

Good morning Dave, Reesy, Solly,Damo, Jay. How are we all. Yes i still choked with the cold, but its nice dry sunny day here.

Hey Sandra, sorry to hear you still got the cold...Any plans for today?

Morning Paul, rather jel' of your ride to work! I was bought up just outside of Alton (again just outside of Basingstoke) and used to ride from Hamble Le Rice and get the ferry across the river and ride to Moody's boat yard then go to the Jolly Sailor at Burseldon on a Sunday if I was a good boy every now and then! I have kayak'd the entire river Hamble and done the 100mile canoe test from there too. Lovely part of the world.

Thanks for all the positivity guys, I've been pretty ground down by negativity recently and its nice to see some light at the end of the tunnel :)

Sully, is the job any good?

yeah well i work for sureparts which is pretty much the same thing euro is our competitor :faint:. but yeh i love the job :) its wicked

Good staff discounts? I want some R32 lower arms haha :p

This is insane, basically been waiting two year for this race and OMG our boy didn't let us down! Watch it with the sound up, even if you don't ride bikes it's infectious.

Herro Welly,
Been a while since you ventured into the pub.

Care to share what happened last week then?

Not through choice mate, it's been a while since I've been able to get on ASN at all.

I've had two big installs one after another the last few weeks so have been literally flat out. Having a nice chilled morning this morning drinking ocffee :)

Just wtched the vieo with Danny Hart, omg, that was amazing.

Not too bad mate, how you? Hows the house coming along?

The house is the other place I have been literally non stop working on. All the rooms now decorated. 1 room's laminate laid. Kitchen and bathroom now at the house and are both being fitted next week.

Kitchen plastered and painted, now awaiting the floor to go down this week.

I'll dig a few photos out of my phone...

All good mate, trying to teach her the names of all the tools I use at the moment, and make her understand the difference between what they do...

Start them young...

Does Bill do Apprenticeship schemes? :lmfao:

"This is a KO4+ hybrid, I'll leave that with you for homework. I expect it rebuilt by Friday. We'll progress to GT28's next week."

Pink Ferry is a bit expensive these days, me and the Mrs used to catch it every now and then to have lunch in Hamble (we're on the Warsash side) and it is now £1.50 each way, so that adds £3 to the cost of lunch straight away.

Jolly Sailor still does nice food and a good range of beers, we do go there of an Evening from time to time.

We like it here and the office is on the first floor and has views up and down the River (we are near the Rising Sun Pub).

Good luck on the job front.

I feel properly home sick now haha! We used to go to the queens head on the other side sometimes, they had bar billiards there which used to pass the time pretty well! Rising suns good, they used to sell FFF beers which were brewed just down the road from us.

The other pub I miss (but is a bit chain like now) is the Red Shoot in Linwood, thats was always a nice little pub.

Cheers, fingers crossed I will be sorted with one of these two!

Fanx darlin.

Well, I'm a bit strange. I shave my legs, ride a road bike competitively and race XC. But I live just round the corner from this - Woodland Riders Downhill Mountain Bike Club, Home to Gawton Downhill and Tavi-Woodlands Riding Areas

Arguably one of the best DH spots in the country.

Now I wouldn't say I'm a good downhiller, because I'm not. But I give it a go haha!

OK warning, big ream of photos here.... lol.

Not got many photos of the lounge as is, however it is much the same as it was just painted awaiting flooring now.

Found a sofa... Comes with free chick :)

My Draper Expert Vacuum pump has arrived - let the jokes begin (especially if you make the mistake of doing a general search on ebay.co.uk for vacuum pump - the mistake I made).

Won't go home today as I don't want the extra weight on he bike, but means that i can check the vane actuator on my Turbo now.

Paul
