Cheaper option but I think it will be worth it....
 
An s-line to an RS3 is wrong, S3 to RS3 not too bad, a remap and you are equal in speed so know one would know, bar the noise.

I'm not really thinking of speed but more looks than anything
 
I dont understand why? If you want an RS3 work harder, save and get one. An RS3 kit belongs on an RS3. An S3 kit is similar to an s-line kit at least, the RS3 is completely distinguishable.
 
The S3 is a great car because (especially mapped) it trounces most things, but is very subtle. I've always thought you loose that with the RS3.
 
The RS3 steps it up. 400+ bhp from a map means you trounce everything under £50k!
 
There is nothing wrong with wanting a car to look its best .If that means using a body kit off another model of the same chassis i cannot see the harm .Some people will never ever own an RS3, They simply have more important things to spend there hard earned on or simply will never ever want to spend such amounts on a hatchback ,And some people probably wont earn enough in 4 years to ever even contemplate owning one :wub: .Some are lucky enough to be able to afford such cars .Some people have no choice And have to do the best they can to have the looks they want . So hence replicas ,For me a car is as good as it looks , End of the day its there car there choice :)

Your right. It's just a nice hobby for me. I like to try different things with my car. I love my Audi diesel and I love the looks of the rs3 so I'f I want to change the look of my car and still have the economy and efficiency then what's wrong with that...
 
It's just odd to me.
Like stuffing your pants with some socks, disappointing to anyone who looks a bit closer.

not my cup of tea but if you like it then go for it , me personally i would put a S3 bodykit on it , there have been so many RS3 look alikes on ebay recently and all of them tbh looked not good at all esp that white 3 door one , like i said its your car if you like it then do it ,if you are going to do it then dont badge it as a RS3 because its not one

Mate, just don't bother... An RS3 is an RS3... Anything else just isn't and even if you do the conversion it still won't look like one. :whistle2:

****** he'll all I'm saying is I like the look of an rs3 and with a bit of money spent I could have a similar look. I can't afford around 40k for a real one... If I like the look then that's just my personal thing. Everybody has different tastes some bad tastes some good tastes. I once saw an Audi a3 wrapped in matt black with a yellow roof and yellow alloys. It's whatever makes you happy
 
Make it look how you want mate and if that includes badging it as something else then do it.
My car is part Sport, part s-line, part 8P2, part 8P3, part A8, and part Ford Escort*.
I was going to badge it as that but there wasn't enough room on the boot.

Basically, do as you please. If it looks good to you then it's all good.
There's no science or terms & conditions to what you do to your car, because it's YOUR CAR.
The badge politicians can go sit on to a red ant nest with marmalade spread over their bell ends, for all I care.

*there's some red paint from an Escort on my wing mirror because the **** tried to squeeze past when the gap wasn't even big enough for a Smart car let alone a Dagenham dustbin.

Moe does have a point to be fair. My car has mostly S3 outer parts but a 500 mile to the tank TDI engine, IMO thats the best of both worlds :laugh:
 
I think you should go for it, there is a difference between affording an RS3 and running one.... To say just save up for one isn't a realistic way of looking at it.....
 
If you want the rs3 look than go for it. It will be a quite expensive mod , hope to bring it to the finish line ;)
But don't forget to post pics before & after !
 
Well my car is a mish mash of s-line & S3 parts on a Sport, even a few TT parts for good measure so I'm not going to say dont do it, just as discussed leave of the badges.
