So you couldn't hear the pump when you opened the drivers door?
Nope, thought it was the fuel pump, bit it's apparently the Haldex doing it's thing on startup.
Didn't realise the haldex made a noise on start up. You learn something new everyday

Me too, a rare stray away from the A3/S3 section has revealed people have a life outside of the 8L platform!

Prawn and I are bum buddies but his dad is going, Andy P and I are bum buddies but his dad is going, Spunky and I were meant to be going together last year but he isn't going this year. This year I didn't think I'd be able to get the time off. But I got fired two weeks ago and a cheque for 3K, I'd go tomorrow if there was a space.
She did know, she was trying to make me look like a noob because she doesn't want me to have friends.

Massive fail at work basically.
Friend of mine dropped his forks in for a service, I gave them to the workshop and said to do them at mates rates.
Friend comes in to pick them up so I got them from the workshop, asked the mechanic if anything was wrong and he said no they just had a strip, re-seal and new fluid. I charged the customer an hours labor (£20) and off he went. Anyway, boss asks me what I charged him a couple of hours later and I said I wasn't sure exactly how much but it was whatever the job was worth. We pulled the ticket off the board and it had been two hours not one. So we looked through the till looking for a receipt for £40 and couldn't find one. So I honestly thought I hadn't charged him so I apologised and said I would pay the price of the service so it didn't look bad on the company.
That wasn't good enough for them and they took me upstairs and fired me there and then on the spot, which was a bit strange seeing as I ran their website, managed their eBay retail outlet, was THE senior salesman and controlled the stock and constantly their best salesman as well as knowing my trade inside out. They asked me to leave my phone there because they wanted to phone the customer to see if I was telling the truth, trying to be reasonable and keep my job I left my phone and went home. I had never had a verbal or written warning, and had been working there 18 months. I had access to over £20,000 which was controlled solely by me on the works Paypal account from that months eBay sales and had access to all work bank accounts and access to the company cards to pay for stock. So god knows why they thought I'd try something over £20 to a friend who earns 80K+ as a retained gas man for Wales & West!
Went to my girlfriends work to tell her the bad news and she said she already knew, she had gotten a call from my friend to say that I had undercharged him and he had popped back to work to pay the rest of the bill.
Went in the next morning, they had a go at me and said they weren't sure and that it was black and white to them. To which I argued that black and white = grey and it HAD to be investigated legally before I was dismissed but they weren't having it.
Anyway, they clearly know they ****ed up massively because they gave me a cheque for a grand this morning which is £800 more than they owed me! They'll be getting a letter from my solicitor within the next week or so, needless to say.

Those pictures are from 2008 when Pierre owned it, then it got sold to Liam who made it a bit of a beast after he saw Prawns car in Basingstoke and messaged Prawn on here saying he had seen a car and was it his. Prawn messaged him back saying was *this* (a pic of Prawns car) the car you saw in Basingstoke, and was *this* (Pierres car) the car you are looking at buying? Plunky bought it and spent all the money on it and made it a beast and came into our circle of Prawn wannabe friends and now I've got it. It's quicker than Prawns though
I am SO interesting in how Andy gets on this year with the Volvo. My money is on it absolutely destroying the A3 but breaking massively.

My work plans are working for Everest Home Improvements as a regional sales rep, OTE of 36K if you are willing to put the hours with many people who are hungry for it earning in excess of 80K. It's free lance work, so they train you and all you have to do is report to the area manager on a daily basis with your coming and goings and any sales or appointments you have made and he makes sure you get paid. If you want to stay in bed the next day you make sure you haven't made any booking for yourself and stay in bed. Ideal! Commission based only, but other salesmen (who's best intentions are to NOT have another member of sales!) in the area are saying that 40K is easily obtainable for a newbie and they will happily profit share their commission because all of the sales figures and bonuses are regional.
