Hey there, i'm new to the audi scene and also to the forum so first of all hello
I bought my first audi about 2 weeks, its a 2007 1.8T FSI A3 S-line, having come from my first car being a Fiat Punto 1.2 8v its a little bit quicker to say the least, i could not be happier with it!!
I'll put up some photos after i get home from work

I did mod my punto a fair bit and i did say that i wasn't going to do any modification to the audi but after joining on here i cannot help myself
First mods/additions include:
S-line mats, Front, rear and boot
S-line tax disc
S-line number plate holder (on route)
Metal pedals (ordered from germany, currently on route) to replace stock rubber ones, anyone know where i can get the foot rest pedal to match, can't seem to find one anywhere

Mods on the list:
Full car wrap in pearl white
Spray current alloys in black or replace with different ones, (currently have split rims) opinions or ideas welcome
Carbon wing mirrors, found these Total Carbon Accessories anyone know if they will fit/how to fit?
Carbon rear lower bumper
Tints
OEM DRL's and Bi-xenon
Fog light DRL's (not so sure)
Lowering on coilovers

Once the year warranty is up with Audi i will start on the engine but until then that's all i've got so far,
Anyway thanks in advance and any ideas or opinions are more then welcome, as said will upload pics of the car when i'm home from work

Cheers

Pictures as promised

unfortunetly i couldn't get any pictures as it was dark when i got home but these are from the day i got it :)

Mate - that looks lovely as it is. Perhaps I'd lower it, but otherwise I'd leave the outside alone! :)

Thanks guys, I think the alloys need to be darker and i agree with the lowering for sure but i've wanted this car in white since i first started looking, only reason i went for this was because of the spec it was and the price i paid for it i couldnt say no. i've had a few quotes for the wrap and putting the alloys in gloss black.

More pictures of interior tonight when i get home
Also purchased some S3 airvents, the foot rest wez3570 kindly linked me too, went for the plane one as thought it would match best withthe others, so they'll be going on hopefully either this weekend or next
My S-line mats came yesterday which i'm really happy with

Cheers

I have to say i do like the My09 and My11 tail lights, not sure what would look better considering i'm wrapping the car white, maybe the my09? where can i get a set from, ebay or do i have to go to audi? Also are they simply plug and play?
Cheers

I would say that MY09 look better on silver cars and MY11 look better on all of the other colours.

Does your car have the red or the silver 'T' badge on the back??
If it's got the red 'T' then I'd go MY09. It's only a minor detail but it matches the redder MY09 nicely, if you're as OCD as me that is.

Yep, they are plug and play, 5 minute job to fit.

They rarely come up on ebay and when they do they go for quite a lot of money.
NHN on here sells them brand new for a bit cheaper than Audi and can have them delivered to you in days.
Send him a PM for details etc.

agree about the lights my 06 3dr ones arnt the nicest

Yeah I'm swaying to the My09 lights more than the My11, I'll drop NHN a pm later today and ask how much for a set delivered, already looking at getting the RNS-E head unit fitted from him but that won't be for a while now due to going to Aus for xmas
Got to agree that the 06 lights aren't that great, My09 lights are now on the list to do!
The 'T' on the back is silver but I'm thinking of de-badging the rear, although I do like have the 1.8T just because its my first turbo car and I'm weird like that XD
Really considering getting some tints, nothing dramatic just subtle enough to make it look as if its meant to be OEM, what you guys think?

Lose the " A3 1.8t" off the back makes it look a lot more flush! Hairdyer and some tooth floss. 10 min job matey.

Yeah t'is a nice easy job but i do kinda like the badges on there for now, once i get the My09 lights on there and it goes for the wrap i'll tell them to leave the badges off including the audi rings, smooth look FTW

I like it mate..... But - Don't wrap it!! It's a nice colour and wrapping costs a fortune, especially if you get the door/boot shuts done.. plus it doesn't really look that great up close IMHO.. The money you would save on that alone, you could get sooo much other great stuff for her! (rns-e, fbmfsw)

I've had a few quotes around the 1k mark for the wrapping, it is expensive but, i have wanted this car in white for so long and have been saving up to do so for ages, i'm going for a white and carbon fibre look, plus the wrap is meant to help protect the current paint meaning it 'should' be worth more when i go to exchange her for something faster, but that won't be for a while :D
I've seen a few car wraps and to be honest the quality of them all depends on the price you pay and the skill of the person who's doing it, the few that i've seen looked really good once done and i couldn't tell if it had been wrapped.
Having said that, the colour it is at the moment, is really starting to grow on me

1k seems very cheap!? Is that for all the door and boot shuts too? There's not a lot worse than opening a door and seeing a different colour on the sill! If you need any convincing about colour check this out.......http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/new-a3-s3-sportback-8p-chassis/115346-i-guess-i-went.html

Well the original quote was just under 1400 quid and i got another quote from some cheap place for 850, went back to Xwraps i believe they were called and they offered me 1050 quid which includes all the door and boot struts, they said they'll do their best to hide the original colour of the car. having said that i may be able to get it done at a better place for a similar price, my girlfriends dad owns a car garage and he has cars wrapped for races etc for years using a place called racoon, they offered me originally 1600 quid but hopefully if i get it done through him it may be a bit cheaper more around the 1200 mark for what i want, plus i've seen some of their stuff and it looks the nuts!!

The modding bug hit me 4 months before I picked my car up and that bug has continued for 3.5 years

N8 i've been looking at your thread since i joined the forum, about a month or so before i bought my car, and man, you're car is actually awesome!!

Welcome ,Nice base that and love the alloys ;)

Cheers mate, the alloys were one of the reasons why i went for it, although once the car is wrapped the wheels are going white with a black rim :D

As said before "flat bottom steering wheel is a must" and agree with Lingy 19's would be better

I was waiting for that ha! i'm trying to convince myself that 18's suit it more but i'm fighting a losing battle :(

I would love a flat bottom steering wheel, do they come with the S-line model or jsut S3's? don't want to start putting S3 bits on a none S3 car, plus i want a multi-function steering wheel and as far as i can tell, they ain't cheap!

I have an s-line flat bottom wheel, so they are out there pal, deffo worth the outlay.

Thing is i dont want to put anything that says S3 like the steering wheel or gear stick onto the car simply because it's not an S3, one of my other weird traits i know lol
Though having said that, its so very tempting!!

Badging your car as something it isn't gets you loads of street cred. Didn't you know that?
Do it and post a pic, they'll love it on here.

Haha! i've never been one to badge my car as something its not, guys used to do it on the fiat forum putting abarth badges and decals on their 1.2's, found it silly personally but each to their own :ninja:
I think i'll do my other mods first and then maybe, just maybe, a flat bottom steering wheel, have to say though, they look so nice!!!!!!! :hubbahubba:

I'm gonna keep the badges as the S-line me thinks
Anyone know where i can get a gear stick gaiter with stitching to match the steering wheel?

Nice car zak! i to have a 1.8TFSI good motors. Yours looks very smart

Cheers dude, there's so many things i want to do to it, but all have to be subtle and keeping to the OEM look!

Yer racoon are pretty darn good tbh... Seen a couple of their wraps and they were about the best I've seen...

19" speedlines. coilovers. de-badge & de-wiper. Black grill. MY11 rears.

Don't wrap it.

Sorted!
