Karl I'm feeling Yr woman pain man, told her I was wrapping the motor she was ok, then the S4's turned up, was ok!! Then I slapped the collies on which lead to new rear bushes, top mounts, 007, panel filter and an a6 oil cap.... She then slapped the mod ban on me!! Just as I was getting started. Think i over did it with the oil cap..... ***** ;)Deffo wanna go the ring next Yr just don't know how to blag it hahaOh an I think I must of ****** Ian Beal of cause iv still not had a brew yet.... ****er !!

You boys need to lay the groundwork for next years trip NOW. Tell them that you've always wanted to go, and that you'll bring her back a present and that you'll start saving for it now blah blah blah. Oh and get it in writing ;)

I was lucky because I got all my mods done this year inbetween my ex and my new bird, win win.

Arteta is a good signing, i read somewhere that he took a 10k cut tho just so he could join arsenal. Wenger stuck to his guns and refused to offer more. Is there something more going on in the background?

Nothing in the background, typical Wenger dealings. Arteta is 29 and this will probably be the last move of his career so he was happy to take a cut so he could play Champions League football (this year anyway).
 
Fair point, i think playing in the champions league would of been a massive factor. There were so much going on, on the deadline day, it was a mad rush!

Shame about Meireles leaving for Liverpool, although I think we have a big enough squad to cope

I knew he had got to the CL for Everton, that's why I made sure I put 'For Arsenal' on the end.:lmfao: Nice bit of dealing to get Benayoun for you as well, he'll fit right in at Arsenal as he doesn't like to shoot until he's about 6 yards out!

There is a lot of talent in the midfield now, but arsenal are beginning to collect a lot of small players. Would you see that as a concern especially in the Premier where they could easily get shoved off the ball? walcott, arshavin, benayoun?

That's what Song and Frimpong are there for. Have you seen Frimpong play yet? He's a nutter, he was smashing people against Liverpool until he got sent off, he looks very good. England and Ghana are both fighting over him to get him to play for them.

Afternoon all.

Day in Worcester yesterday 11 hour day which was a pain, traffic was kind though to Ave 70MPH and 51MPG.

Have I missed much ?

He is definitely one to watch..he's about 19 right? Still young, strong but what arsenal lack IMO is experience, Wenger changes it up so much. What happened to the days of Viera, Keown and Pires...? (dont say they grew old!)

Well Arteta, Benayoun, Santor and Mertesacker all have experience so hopefully it will help out the younger players.


Paul, sorry for the footy talk but nobody else is talking about anything in here.
 
Not sure what to make of LFC's decision to sign Bellamy, although he's a better bench warmer then David No'goals. He was liverpool's equivalent to Bentner, although you only managed to ship him out on loan..

It's OK I guess a number of you like Footy, I'll just start ranting about the BBC/Sky F1 deal.

Think I may need to thing about a new Turbo soon, will need to do some logging but the car is smoking a bit under full load and has lost some go by the feels of it. It's done 79K now and I did try a clean up to clear the soot, which sorted the overboost codes I was getting.

May just have to bite the bullet and get hold of a recon Turbo for it and sweet talk my mate into changing it.

Not sure yet mate. I can give you a better cost when I get back but it's around £500 for the weekend all in if you drive. It'll be cheaper for you in the Derv!

We wont be able to know dates until the new calendar is released in the new year.

Does anyone know what channel sky is proposing to air F1 on? A lot off ppl still dont have sky never mind sky sports
With it going on sky i hope they dont do what ITV did and slap in ads during the race!

Speak to Bill as he sometimes gets hold of recon'd K04s. I paid nearly £900 for a brand new K04 then had to pay for the labour to have it changed :faint:
 
I'm struggling with what to do, I'm going to have to get a small loan if I want to change the car, which doesn't bother me as I need to build up my credit rating, and I shall get it over a period of time that means I can afford to live, without spending every penny paying it back.
Everyone is saying to me that if I am going to be changing my car, to get something around the same price, but newer. The only thing I'd go for is the 2.0T Quattro 8P, and there aren't many good uns around until you start going out of my budget, so what do I do?
If I get an S3, I have 2 years of paying it off, and by that point it's 11-13 years old.

No details yet and we don't know which races the BBC will cover Live FTA either, Sky have said that they won't run Ads during the actual races, the channel will possibly change depending on what football matches clash.

The deal just doesn't add up for F1 fans 10 races live and having to subscribe to Sky for the year, although not ideal with football at least there are more than 10 matches a year for the cost of subscribing.

The BBC also got into bed with Sky to block the possibility of C4 bidding and keeping it all Live FTA.

Drove it - there is an issue with the VVT getting clogged up with soot on the Diesels which can cause either over or under boost depending on how the vanes get stuck.

I think Bellamy will have a great start for LFC but then slowly forgotten as he always does. He did well for city unil he got injured...then never really played the same again
