Is the 8P s3 worth the money?

Did I mention your name at all Animal ?? No...

Im 31 myself so I don't see how I'm a kid, all I was stating was the 8L and 8P are both good cars in there price bracket, reading some of the childish comments that have been written ' some of which S3 Dave has high lighted' I don't see it justified how the 8L gets slated, especially by people that have never owned one, know no different and jump on the band wagon, you of all people know it's a good car, I wasn't digging at you and respect to you saving up and buying one whilst running a house...

Anyway i'd rather have an 8P S3 and an 8L S3 than most cars in both price ranges

Oh god i can see this being a interesting thread tonight. ASN always needs to have these threads such a good read and a laugh :laugh:
When things are not getting personel anyway (not aimed at any one, just when they do threads get locked :()
 
To have a stab at the OP's original question.. And the second reason for starting this thread (other than to wind the 8p boys up lol)
I think the s3 8p is worth every penny.. There is a lot of technology on it regardless of what you compare it to, the dis and satnav are awesome! Everything works really well as in most Audis, and having watched megafactories, almost every manufacturing process Audi use has changed loads in the last 5-10 years, so the car is very much about "vorcsprung Dutch picnic" -progress through technology, rather than loud ostentatious styling cues.. If I thought it wasn't a good deal.. I would buy something else...:kissmyrings:

dude, you didn't say who you were speaking to..... why i answered ;)

Your post also didn't say much about the 8L or 8P...other than to go for the throats at us 8P owners - again the reason i replied ;)

I think we both know the 'kid' was my attempt at patronising you :)

Anyway, all this aside, keep it in good spirits...I've owned both and my opinion is my own, same as yours is...we know everyone with an 8P will justify their purchase as im sure no idiot would spend 20-35k on a car without putting a bit of thought behind it - same goes for you

now lets chuck Rocky 4 on and start cheering old Sylvester!!
 
If I did have the money I would like to own an 8P S3 as I really do like the look of it, but I have say it would be the 3 door version as iv just looked at the RS3 and I don't like it, they should have made a non sportback version as it just doesn't look right. I would rather save the extra money and tune the S3 to that spec or more, but thats just me dreaming lol :drool:
