Hi all

I know this has been covered so many times .. How much can I buy a pair of used xenon headlights for my 2006 A3 s-line? I dont have the knowledge to fit bi-xenons so just prefer the easier route of getting the single xenon headlights?

Cheers
Kal

you should be able to pick up standard xenons for about £300.
plug and play with a little coding.
bi-xenons are so worth it and dont take that much doing

I need someone that will be able to retrofit bi-xenons for me cuz am clueless. I'll end up killing the car :banghead:
If someone can help am based in manchester?

Any 1 close to manchester that maybe able to assist me with this bi xenon retrofit project??

done bi's complete with headlight washers & leveling motors but i'm up in rainy Scotland. Maybe I can help in a technical matter?

For me to pay Ash for the job and then fuel to get there its gona work out too expensive for me?:crying:
Hey Khufu thanks for your support :respekt:

Apologies for Hijacking the thread but this is my first post and thought be better to post here then start a new thread, i've used the search feature but couldn't find what i was after so apologies there
I've just bought my first Audi A3 its a 07 1.8TFSI S line and the first mod i'm looking at doing is the Bi-xenons with Drl's
I have no idea what parts i need but i'm willing to have a crack at doing it myself (or maybe with some help?)
Anyway, could someone point me in the right direction please :D
Thanks

Ok for the Bi-xenon mod you need:

1. check what Electronics module you already have in your car, can find this out by having the car scanned in VCDS (Vagcom). If the module is a F or K then good, if not then go shopping for a new electrics module and make sure you have a good £200 for it!

2. get yourself some bi-xenon headlights... its about £600 from Audi direct (special price for me from my local) or on ebay (paid £330 for mine delivered) but watch out as some on ebay are not complete with ballasts and bulbs.

3. you will need an adapter to wire in the new lights, i would recommend the Kufatec ones as its pretty straight forward. make sure you get the right one (pre-facelift and facelift versions are different)
KUFATEC GmbH & Co. KG - Xenon/HID Curve Light - Adapter - Audi A3 8P & 8P Sport 33791

get it all installed and wired, and finally code it all in and you should be fine!

I've purchased a CE Module 8P0907279 K that came out of a 2007 Audi S3. Just wondering is it just the case of unpluging the old module and plugging the new one in?

Swap old relays across, plug in & code it accordingly for car features, but if you didnt have highline board before you may experience some issues.

highline board? issues? I've not got the VCDS but all i know is my car is a standard late 2006 s line tdi?

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHANGE OVER THE CE MODULE WITHOUT VCDS!

I'm not being funny mate but if you do not know what you are doing here with the CE module then i would get someone who does know... adding a pin or 2 is nothing... replacing the whole load and getting it wrong? your in for a big load of trouble!

I need somehelp i really need someone local that can help? If not i'll have to just leave it the way it is and sell the module

I'd be happy to drive up & do it all for you, but as with all things in life there would be a cost element, as I advised on my PM reply to you mate.

Thanks Nigel but whats the point getting the VCDS when i don't have a clue on what am doing. This project seems to be too big for me:sorry:

Thanks Ash I really do appreciate the support. TBH I really cant stand the dull yellow headlights at the moment so just need to go hunting for the headlights now
