seriously baffling problems

Hi mate, first of all is it a genuine s3, or is it a different engined a3 that you have stuck the bumpers and badges on?

If you are having 'baffling' problems mate, that's the exhaust rather then fuel..

its a genuine 5 door S3 with the AGU engine.

Karl what fuels have you tried so far? It sounds like it could be the actuator.
i first tried bp ultimate diesel, but it didnt seem to like that. so i then heard about these nos fuel additives that double the horse power, so i put about 5 of them in. it DEFFO went alot faster, but it didnt last long

I've used them before as well, I think i read somewhere that you can use them instead of petrol for maximum BHPs.
The problem with your fuelling is that you are using BP diesel, when you should be using V-power diesel, as that gives you more BHP and V power points.

V Power?
DOes the V stand for virtual, as in virtualy no difference in power?
May be thats the issue, its all virtual?

Is there a P(Placebo) Power as well?

yeh that makes sense! il try that tomorow! im just waiting for delivery of my new actuator

does anybody else have any concerning problems, ive been a mechanic for a week now and can pretty much solve anything

I've removed my rear springs to get that slammed look but the car feels very strange when going round bends now. Any ideas?

You can't just remove the springs mate, the shocks have to go as well..

Karl, do you think it could be your Rods? I heard they go when you put the key in the ignition?

If you take the wheels off and put the car on bricks with the slammed look, it will give the impression of it floating...

Yeah common issue, you need to uprate your rear anti roll bar, i've got a special 8mm bamboo cane and springs out of a BIC pen

I read that having a smaller steering wheel will help you turn quicker and sharper.
I was unable to get a steering wheel as small as I wanted so I used a set of mole grips.

The trouble now is that I find it very hard to do a full roation.
can you offer any help or advice?

You want to take that back to wherever you bought it, either that or try and fit a 206 s3 front end on it...
those 206 front ends look good dont they!

i did an oil change the other day actually. i had loads of oil left from changing it on my 2 stroke crosser, so used the rest of that.

scott - i also tried the molegrip mod, but found donuts really hard. so i switched to using a really big jubilee clamp, its just like a small sporty steering wheel, plus, i can now do most of the stuff ken block can do

Hello buddy, I think you are in the wrong section, as judging by how 'stripped out' your car is, that looks like it's a track car. Bet it weighs nothing! Anyway, have you thought about supergluing a £1 coin to the end, almost like a miniature steering wheel. Actually, use a penny as it'll save weight.

Are you trying to achieve 300bhp with the back seats still in the upright position? If you lie them flat the K07 will easily blow over 308.976whp.

Karl, do you think it could be your Rods? I heard they go when you put the key in the ignition?

i really dont think its the rods. my tuner told me that if i get a fmic il have to change them because of the power increase, so ive stalled that mod for a while. but its been running 500ftlbs of torque for a few months now with no issues, i also have a friend with an S3 that uses standard rods and he has around 500hp from his ko3 hybrid, based on his airflow of 200 and the 0.4 rule of course

Have you removed the floor pan and replaced it with checker plating riveted in place?

I'll just say...... Pure gold!!! ;)

you would pay full gold for a car with a weird engine and a 8mm antiroll bar made of bamboo with BIC pen springs, a 1p steering wheel to save waight and no springs?

if so i have one for sale

If you're looking for speed, you need to carbon wrap various internal components. The wrap will reduce weight by a good 100kg. That corroborated with 173psi in the front tyres will see you over 200mph no worries!

I always thought the irony of carbon wrapping is that it actually adds weight to the car - obviously I was wrong!
