A3 delivery times

I ordered an A3 Sportback 2.0TDI Sport on the 22nd of April and was told it would be available in August. I asked to get it on the 1st of September to get the new plate. I have recently been told that it will be built in week 34 which starts tomorrow. How long will it take to be built and shipped over to the UK?

When I got my A3 it took about 4weeks from my build week to delivery... You can always ask the dealer to hold it back and register and pdi the car after the 1st.

ordered mine around the same time and just heard today that the build week has been pushed back from 35 to 40.

reason given was issues in sourcing all the parts for the 2.0 TDI. I've to phone back (great customer service) in a couple of weeks to see if things have changed. It was week 35 just before the factory shut down.

Audi are jokers.

My mate who ordered 3 weeks after me and change from 140-170 a few weeks after I did aswell has had his order moved from 38 to 37. Yet mines goes from 34 to 44 to 13/2012.

ordered mine 11th feb, came into country end of july so picking mine up 3rd sept on the new plate, cant wait oh and there giving me a free full tank of fuel

They say it's free but when you look at the breakdown of the delivery cost it's included in there.

Given all the delays A3 orders have been suffering I decided to call my dealer today and my S3 has been moved forward from week 40 to 39 for build week.

Supposedly dealers have allocations of cars to sell, and if they oversell one model without selling any of another they restrict the availability of the high selling vehicles to that dealer. Why they would want to do this I don't know, but it seems a possibility as there is inconsistency in supply between dealers.

Seems the new pertinent question beyond 'how much discount' is now 'and how fast can I get it?'!!

Gulp! I hope wk34 isn't affected... did they say what parts in particular? :-S

And I'm sure it is wk34 this week... don't think we are up to 35 yet?

Don't forget the last two weeks of Aug, the Audi manufacturer in Germany shuts down as part of their annual holiday

who knows what is going at the moment. I certainly looking forward to getting it, but the sunroof will be fixed shut for the winter!

I don't know what the he'll is going on . I ordered mine June 27th and they old me end of September, spoke to the today and they are saying first week of January, that is bull ****. Why get my hopes up!!!!!!

hi guys i'm new on here but i ordered my A3 black Edition at the end of June 11 as it is a co car i expected a wait but hadn't heard anything by the beginning of Aug so chased it up, i was given a build date of 20th December yes i did say December expected delivery Feb 12

so i contacted Audi via their contact us and kicked right off nicely including the fact they are removeing the spare wheel from new models (to me a safety issue) but to go part way they did arrange 12 bottles of wine a mix of Red and White

Still not really happy i have read that they have a new lady at the top Alison Jones joins Audi UK to take on top Operations role she has worked her way up from the bottom and is customer focused, ......... really well i'm not holding my breath a week now and she can't be bothered to contact me.

haha its like me i ordered mine from parklands audi in gloucester (half an hour away from me) when listers audi in worcester 2 minutes down the road and parklands gave me better price

I ordered a 3 dr black edition 170 in ibis White with tech pack, comfort pack and lumbar support beg of June and have been quoted late
December for delivery but after reading this I'm worried it's going to be delayed so I'm now reconsidering my choice. It's a company car so
I need to find out whether I am able to cancel before I can order something else!

Seems to be affecting the Black Edition orders more than anything.

Just thought I'd give an update as I've just been speaking to my fleet dept. The latest update from Audi states build week 46 with
delivery mid dec, he said this is applicable to the 3 door, the 5 door is not due for build til mid dec. Apparently they've been told that the situation is improving as they go along. I won't hold my breath!
