RNS-E. how does the SD card fit?

This might sound like a silly question but how does the sd card fit into the RNS e unit. Behind the screen the two sd slots are there but the sd card just does not go in?

Tried both ways there seems to be a metal bit blocking acces to the width of the card

N8, you might need a new woman - yours sounds faulty.

Russo, SD cards are the same size and shape regardless of capacity - they should all go in the slot the same: if the device isn't compatible it just won't work once it's there.

Can you take a photo? It sounds like there's a blanking board across the slot :s

Yup, 2GB each. Didn't know they'd be a different size/shape for a 4GB though.

No the cards are the same size.

You are correct it does look like there is a blanking board across the slots

Looks to me like the face has been taken off and not put back on properly so the slots aint lining up.

I think Adam is right, whether is SD or SDHC card they use same format so should slide in nicely. Looks like a screwdriver job for me:]

well in that case i will be leaving it until audi swap it out for the 2011 nab unit i ordered

You can use 4GB card, but it cannot say SDHC.

These are rarer than hen's teeth btw. 4GB was never a proper standard for SD cards and very few were made as SDHC took over. They do work if you can find them though

Are these still available ? if they are give me a shout, as Ive just discovered one of my 4gb Transcend cards has gone belly up and refuses to accept that write protection is off ! Still works in RNS-E but I cant add or remove anything from the card, so need some new ones asap !!
