Evening

I have a A3 Sport Back "Sport" in White on order, when choosing the wheels I was told that the Speedlines were the only 18" option Audi would let me have on a sport so picked these, I was never that keen on them but they seem to be very popular on here!

Would anyone consider a swap, these for the 5 spoke Black Edition wheels? Please note that my Audi is not due for delivery until Nov but these would be brand new when the time comes

The Black Edition ones where the ones I wasnted by the Audi dealer said that i could not have these fitted to a sport????

Are there any photos on here of a White Sport Back with Speedlines on here, have done a few searches but found nothing, seen a black SB with these but still not that keen

The speedline are 2 piece wheels made by BBS, worth much more than any 1 piece ones out there.

It's all about 19" Speedlines:

How much hassle is it to take the wheels apart to get the centres re-coloured? Just bought a set of black centre (and drum) Speedlines and would really have preferred the satin grey in that first pic of N8's. Pretty sure I'll be happy with them black, but wouldn't mind the reassurance that it can be changed with relative ease.

There easy dude! depends on condition steve (lingy) gave me some great pointers!

I have a sort of guide which i can put up if you want?

I'm liking the first pic with the inner being grey. My speedlines are due a refurb soon - do you think having the wheels refurbed in that colour combo be a bit much considering the car is dolphin grey?

Was planning on just keeping them standard til I saw that pic ;)

I have just started a thread to help me decide which colour option to go for when I get mine refurbed.

Those satin grey look good off the car, but just can't decide if they look too bling for a black family Sportback :blackrs4:

There's a grey S3 in the pics thread that has grey-centred Speedlines... looks perfect. I'm in the same position, afraid my black centres on a black car might look too much (even with a polished lip).

Theres a black Sportback round here with all black speedline reps ,I think they would look much better OEM silver .You cant really see what wheels they are until you get real close to it .

was going to get my centres painted the new grey on the rs3 alloys but after seeing n8's pics might have to go gunmetal grey now ! decisions decisions lol , nice one for putting pics up n8

I think I need to see more pics of the people's black cars with these wheels painted before I decide.

Dark wheels definitely change the look of a black car, but can't decide if that change is for me or not!

Still struggling with a good quote for the refurb so I still have time to decide. Lol

heres my black sportback on 19" speedlines

Hopefully will have mine fitted around the 12th, and I'll get pics up asap. I'll be walking tall until I sort coilies though, so expect a bit of a 3-dr Q7 look.

I was gonna go down the 19" speedline route upto last week when I set from edition I was gonna buy got sold before I could see them.
Think i'll go down a different route now....

Looks good and those black rims make it look alot more aggressive than my silver 18" speedline (with corrosion damage)

Just not sure I want to be as aggressive looking.

I take it they have a polished rim? People tell me polished rims don't last and are subject to alot of corrosion wear! Having got a set of aloys with lots of corrosion damage this is my main concern about going for that look.

Polished rims arn't to bad to look after just get some metal polish and go round them after you wash the car :) My mate ran fully polished wheels all winter and as long as you clean them once a week your fine.

Had word from the dealer today my A3 is ahead of schedule!!!

My speedlines will be available in 3 weeks if anyone wants to swap for Black Edition wheels?

think i'm gonna do mine that Lamborghini white it's a kind of matt white/grey kind of colour, then again might leave e'm oem ?

quick snaps of mine, they are 18s

I would love these with white centers for the Roc

All down in the front (still have the extra-springs in though) and almost down in the back.

I think it's lowered 65mm in the front and about 55mm in back.
