About time! Obviously taking cues from the current A4 and A1.

Still looking forward to picking myself up a well refined late 8P sportback.

Looking at that i cant say i am disappointed with my S3...in fact i think the current S3/A3 could fetch a premium when that arrives :)

Looks like a big A1.... And the DRL's will be in the headlight. It's a Audi trademark, in fact you can see them....

the whole front end is in disguise :) thats a false bumper over the proper one joined on above the wheel arch. those are not DRL's its a piece of mesh with shiny tape on it. Its a piece of plastic sheet with cut out in it for the head lights

the write up says Eyeball vents and big chunky switches....lol

i think it looks quite promising... like the lines of it... Obv you have to forget about everything else as it will be different.. but the lines are good & I love the mirrors

I am sure it will look great when it is released. If the A1 and A6 are anything to go by, then Audi seem to be getting things right!

I hope they put the DRL's in the bottom of the light this time, i really dont like the facelift lights

Can't make my mind up, but at present I'm not gutted by what I've got on order. Sure, the new one is a much better platform / handling proposition, but it just looks a touch less angular and sharp which makes it look a bit bulbous. Always loved the rear quarter of the A3 /back end, so jury is out for me!

Hmmm doesn't look that good to me but will need to see it without all the covered bits. Definitely has that A1 shape though...

Looking at that, I'm not disappointed that I just ordered an 8p. It doesn't look like it's going to be massively different (Audi being Audi don't see the need to change a style that's clearly working): should reduce the effect on resale. Then again, if they release it in Q3/Q4 next year and my car is still on order, I won't be a happy bunny.

The Q3 has already been released. I went to a pre-release showing of the car last week and Audi dealers are already taking orders. I doubt if there will be a Q4. The range will be Q3, Q5 and Q7. The 5 and 7 are, of course, already available.

As far as the A3 is concerned it will look a bit different to the existing 8P but it will be much the same size and still have 3 or 5 door and 4 wheels!! Most of the major changes will be on the inside rather than the out with the pop-up screen for the radio and DIS, different style steering wheel, DIS controls on the steering wheel, possibly an electronic handbrake (the Q3 has one), different style of radio that will take SD cards. A lot of it will be similar to the A1 and was on the Q3.

I think he meant quarter 3 or 4 not model Q3 or Q4....

Indeed I did, forgot about the Q series Audi's :p

Mirrors look horrible ! .i will wait for full proper pictures before i make my mind up .But i suspect its simular to the A1 :S

doesn't sound good to me. hated the a1 interior everytime ive been in one. the new benz a-class will surely trump anything from the VAG group in terms of prestige judging by the spy shots

Reading the post again you're right. Still gave me the chance to give a little information on the new Q3.

As far as the appearance of both the exterior and interior of the new A3 is concerned I'll wait until I see a proper release model before I make any judgment. 'I'm still hoping it will be released at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show in September as I will be holiday in Germany at the time and have already arranged a visit. If not it will probably be next year's Geneva Motor Show in March, in which case I may use up some of my Airmiles with a day trip to Geneva.

Id be impressed if it looked like this. Very similar front to the new facelift A5 thats due out in December with the same DRLs
