I went into a shop the other day to ask about Eibach springs but when I bowled up to the counter and said "How much for your 'ee-batch' springs mate?", he just looked at me.

We got there in the end (he called them "ay-bock"), but just to prevent future knobhead'age, what is the correct way to pronounce 'Eibach'?

"eee batch" Lmao

I just say it as I back I guess

A vote for Eye-Back here. Never heard it called anything else.

The most wrongly pronounced word I hear these days is Revo, but thats for another thread!

how can anyone pronounce Revo wrong?? rev-o????:wtf:

i had this problem when i was sorting my clutch!! SACHS! i thought it was sax but apparently its sashes!!

I thought it was sax too.

So basically that's three out of three i've got wrong so far!

Let me just check...... it is ow-dee, isn't it???

Eye-bach (with a Scottish "loch" hawk on the end) from me too. And I say Ree-voe (rev-oh doesn't sound right), Sax and ow-dee (although a lot of people claim it's aw-dee). I'm not too fussed about being wrong, I say ny-kee too, not nike.

Eye- back..... Rev-oh.... I have a mate however that pronounces Audi as "0r-dee"!!! Lol and as for Renault... He says ren- olt:lmfao:
Gotta say tho Rye.. I thought sachs was pronounced "sax" too!?
Nikeeeee! Lol, but what about adidas?

I've been known to call it Ren-olt occasionally. But ren-oh mostly ;)

Nike-eee is too U... S.... A!!
Adidas pronounced 'a-deee-dus' irritates me. It's 'addy-das'.

I pronounce Revo as ree-voh, but a mate always calls it Rev-o!

Sachs... Hmmmm always thought it was Sax, but now I think about it from previous post that's wildly out!

Always thought Nike was properly "ny-kee" because it's Greek and they sound the last "e" on words... But I say it the other way or I feel stoopid lol.. Same as you with adidas, Ads, but revo is well up for interpretation - I've heard it said both ways and I'm just not sure

Duodenum is trickier... we say "dew-oh deenum", yanks say "doowadnum".

How about this one, I can never get it right......
Vosbung burch technik :uhm:.... Vorsprung durch picnic?... foreskin perch technique??................ Forget it!

My username is a good one, I use it all over the internet and different people seem to say it in very different ways.

It's just a word I found when messing about on google trying to find 0 hits (Yes, almost all 21,000 hits on google now are in some way related to me). However, I came to the word not from the Audi direction, but from the Audigy/Audio direction - so I've always pronounced it as Odd-Eee-Jecks.

I've heard:
Audi-Gex (audi as in the car, g as in garden) and Audi-Jecks
Oddy-Gex (g as in garden) and Odd-Eee-Jecks
I've even heard auh-die-geeks.

The worst part was, I didn't even realise that it has the word Audi in at and I was signing up for an Audi forum, when it's not actually anything to do with the car.

As reagrds with Eibach I'm with the majoirity 'eye-back'

Around these parts we call them far worse, the cars are crap but at least the factory created jobs...rant over

Personally after driving a few of the news one I'm quite impressed by them :) and the old ones will never fail to put a smile on my face (even when they broke it was fun fixing them lol)

Poojots have always been awful cars .
Disagree with you there mate, I had a 205 XS, 205 GTi, 306 XSi and 406 Coupe and never had a day's problem with any of them.

Back in the 80s and 90s Pugs were fantastic handling cars, sometimes let down by dodgy electronics

Yh that's it, see let alone pronounce it I don't even know how to spell it :p
Yh yh I know they sell shoes but still... What a dumb way of spelling it

^^^German company are they?

With you all the way - case of looking after them. All cars with have problems.

thats your opinion .IMO they were always sheet ,Especially those god awful 309's with half a rear wheel arch :whistle2:

I had a 2001 Peugeot 206 GTi and owned it from brand new for 7-8 years. Only did just over 20k miles during that time, but it rattled like hell from about the 4th year and 10k miles.
It was fun to drive but had the crappest build ever.
