I'm buying Bilstein PSS10 for a 2010 Audi S3 (no electronic dampers) AND for a VW MK6 GTI, however I noticed that it is the same part number (Part no. 48-135245).

Anybody know if it is the same fit for both an Audi S3 (Quattro) and a VW MK6 GTI (FWD)? or are there differences between the two coilovers and that I should order separately?

I would say it will unless N8 can say why it won't, the front struts will bit be 55mm and the rears ate just the same for 2/4wd.

i agree with N8 on this, KW use different part numbers so would expect bilstein to as well

haha i know, doesnt happen that often, but good when it does!

Thanks for your reply guys

N8, I've considered that they are different rear axle weights because of FWD/AWD but I've had a confirmation by one respected seller that they are the same part/kit and will fit cross platform: MKV GTI, 8P A3, 8P S3, MKVR32, MK6GTI AND MK6 R.

IanS3, I agree that if the struts are 55mm then all is good and the kit will fit both cars ...

Anybody else have any more experience with this?

If u buy a kit and try to fit it and find out somethings not right you wont have a leg to stand on in regards to getting a refund,
as the last post says, confirm from the manufacturer who you will be dealling with,
i mean what will you say to the seller if there not right " The guy/girl on ASN told me they would be ok??"

The rear is the same spring size and strut size on the 2wd and 4wd platforms. I know people who have used the mk5 gti kit on an S3 and also people who run the air lift rear bags which is designed to work on the 2wd chassis.

The only difference will be spring rates.

Bags and springs will be differently surely Ian

There just the same bro, Dan used my old H&R's on his mum's 2wd A3 and Dan has JonnyC's old mk5 H&R's on his S3, they are all the same fitment. Matt Andrew runs the same rear bags as you

Has there been any confirmation on this?
I have the opportunity to buy some PSS10s from an A3 2.0T.
Same part number as shown for my S3.

I've emailed Bilstein but no response as of yet.

I also suspect if its the same part number then should fit, but as N8 says, check with manufacturer always, as there's no better way to claim if you have a written confirmation by them & they dont fit.
