And I ****** love it! coming from a MK2 Golf GTI its just well totally different and the first diesel ive owned (very different style of driving)

It just a really really nice place to be, effortless to drive, the driving position and feel is great and must admit its pretty pokey! really does get up to speed really quick! Its just the little things that have put a smile on my face as well, the armrest, having a stereo where the speaker work and dont crackle, a working driver side electric window, auto dimming mirror (forgot how much i missed that!)

Got a few changes lined up, mainly cheap mods at first, black front grill badge and some Carbon Firbe vinyl wrap came today (going to get rid of the wood trim and wrap the chrome front grill) also got a black rear badge coming so will de-badge and replace with that, really just little things to make it look tidy

cheers dude, its the first dark coloured car ive owned so im sure it should be fun to keep clean! it is in need of a good detail session which im looking forward too :) just got a nasty nokia hands free kit on the inside that i need to remove lol looks so 'rep mobile'

Lovely car that and seems in cracking condition for the mileage.I used to love the way my old A3 TDi sport would really fly without feeling like it was busting a gut.So ****** torquey I really miss it.

nice one mate looks a clean one , whats the plans with her then

Well apart from the cheap changes ive got planned, will lower the car a bit not a massive fan of coilovers but been looing at some Eibach Pro springs, should give enough drop to get rid of the 4x4 look and still maintain good ride comfort. Rhys keeps hinting at a remap! but I do think before I do anything like that I would look at replacing the clutch and flywheel just for peace of mind! but again that isnt going to be anytime soon, happy with the power at the moment.

Apart from that might look at changing a few things re the trip computer as it doesnt have on as such! got the miles and I belive its the avg mpg? but i think that might involve changing the whole dash unit for one with the centre computer? and changing the wiper stalk etc. I know there are loads of things that can be doen with VAGCOM to enable miles to empty etc etc

Im sure there will be loads of things I will come across and want to do :p I know how slippery the slope is!#

Just ordered a set of mats for the car as well

You get even better ride comfort with coils bro

and i guess there is the added benefit of bein able to adjsut the ride height! mmmmm again no money for collies at the mo, i know Weitec's are a bit preicey but v.good quality

ahh finally stink!! nice car matey! ive driven diesel a3's before and they fly off from stationary like a rocket!

im not an expert at this, but is the mileage too high for a remap?

as n8 said bro coilovers are not that expensive anymore and way way way more comfortable than some may think i was a bit so so about getting coilies but im never just buying springs ever again ive got v-maxx coilovers on mine my car is a sport so harsh as hell set up from audi and it is on par with loads of top of the range cars for ride comfort ive driven a few time well over 300 miles to and from car shows and didnt pull my hair out once so so so so comfortable on the motorway way better than oem thats for sure pm n8 for some v-maxx's and be done with it you will not regret it bro trust me ive had them on for months now still love them to this day do it you know you want too

That is a really stunning photo! As said, a tad lower and S-Line front bumper will look bob on :icon_thumright:

cheers guys, yeah it does need to be dropped abit! have been looking at some Eibach Sportline Springs which woudl give a nice drop a little more than the pro's but first of all think im goign to save some money to change the clutch and flywheel as it hasntbeen done and at 107k think its a worthwhile bit of maintenace and for peace of mind then can look at some more fun mods ;)

Looks very nice mate, you getting Mark to map it when the time comes? When I get round to getting mine finished off I'll be dropping you a message to get some pics done :)

Well today looks I've got a boost leak, so need to try and locate that as there is no boost what so ever :(

in the mean time i had a go at Vinyl wrapping the split grill, what a task! managed to get the grills off with out removing the bumper which was good, and spent a good hour and a half trying to wrap. soooo ****** hard. its far from perfect but will do for now!
