I bought my S3 about a month ago, when I bought it I didn't notice that the major service was due within 3000 miles. I've done about 1500 miles and now the service is a 1000 miles away. Should the dealers have done the service? Does anyone know what the policy is on this? Thanks

With an Audi, I'd prefer the services to be done when they need them, not to save cash. The extra money you have to spend on the service may aid resale values in the future with having an Audi stamped service book. That's the reason the Skoda and Seat dealership I bought my car from was told not to stamp the book as it's not due it for another 12k miles but they did give it a once over....

Basically no, as it wasn't due. It depends on the mileage you do. If someone like me had bought the car you did, then it would take me 6 months to do 3k miles....

I'd be pretty miffed to find a new (secondhand) Audi approved used car needed a service after 2500 miles. Go back and tell them how you feel, politely and see what they say.
