Rear lights

I was looking at my rear lights over the weekend and trying to think what I can do to them.
Don't really want to buy facelift rear lights, as i'm not a massive fan of them.

I was thinking of trying something different, painting them all red or darken them down.
Can't really make my mind up.
I thought i'd ask you lot, see if you got any ideas, thoughts on what to do.

Wanting to do it to just pass some time till I sort out what I'm really going to do.
But that does look nice.

I think all red would suit yours mate. Dont black them anyway, hate that.

I have a set of all red but they are saloon unfortunately.

prob te best pic i have seen with these on, looked a lil naff when you just see the units on its own.

All red I think, although might look a bit weird having full red on a red-ish car

That's it. All red sounds nice then you think what colour the car is and it seems a bit much.
Could do all a bIt darker or a combination of the two.
Need to get PhotoShop working and come up with some combinations.

Keep the ideas coming in.

What about getting some clears, then get busy with masking tape, M3 style red and clear in different style from standard?

i like the inpro's. I just bought some facelifts from an rs4 but might have to invest in a set of these instead

Not buying any rear lights yet.
Got full suspension, control arms and rear axle bushes to sort first.
This is just a short term cheap project.

The inpros are nice but not 100% sure they look any good.
I'll get on PhotoShop tomorrow and have a play with different combinations.

Scott, have a gander thru my build thread mate, last page or 2 shows a set of full clear chav style units i bought, i then masked them up and spray tinted them red with a section left clear to get facelift looking lights.

Try something like that, and make the clear section wherever you want, have a play around, will still look oem but very different. ... Shift+R improves the quality of this image. CTRL+F5 reloads the whole page.

Me neither, but everybodys different!

I couldnt find all clear avant lights but have seen them about, thought FK would have them.

Thats wot i mean Scott, although they look quite pricey! Pretty much a blank canvas thou and you can tint spray whichever sections red and leave some clear or that, your own design.

It would help if I can make my mine up with what I want to do before buying any thing.

What about some led's, not ott thou, just add single strip lines for brakes and maybe sdelights? Leave bulbs in indicators and reverse or something???

Could get them from Maplin cheap enough, i was gonna do that with mine but am just adding 2 each side for reverse now i think.
