Car looks sick as mate, you've managed to help me decide here with everything black!
At first I was a bit wary of black alloys on a black car, but yours looks great. Although I think I may have a few red bits here and there on mine. Much nicer now than before, good work!

Just looked through... looks awesome mate.

BTW whats a french bootlid

its got a smaller plate recess mate! you can see it in the first pictures on page 1

cheers mate, yea i was too, thought i might loose the wheels a bit, but they look more detailed than when they were orange!

Maybe a silly question, but would you not get into trouble for not having any spaces in your rear plate? I read that your not allowed to move the spaces in the plates?

it looks pretty much the same, just without the ends and maybe a little less spacing, never had any trouble for it, no trouble with the german front plate either suprisingly, touch wood

If they're all together like his are then I don't think much can be said about them, there isn't enough room too have the plate both spaced correctly and the proper font size, so he'd have to sacrifice one or the other, I think it's when the plate is mis spaced, ie if the numbers were split instead of together like **5 4*** instead of **54 *** but that's just what I think.

Also the german plate should be fine, because you're plate doesn't have a 0 then it looks like any other plate, I got given stick by the cops with my plate because there's a 0 and the german 0 doesn't close off. Otherwise it's just the D.

hopefully ill have a few little updates for this at the end of the week, new coilovers, grill and spacers are on after the probation notice was slapped on it

hopefully there will be some nice pictures from DC11 after that, getting full enhancement detail at the hands of ashley on the day before

the car will be on the Vorsprung collective stand

What spacers you after? Think it needs a proper steering wheel, how about an RS6 wheel?

Just had a quick scan of the thread. Wasnt loving the wheels but they look nice on ^ picture. I do like the interior though its different!

Only thing i dont understand, and this isnt necessarily aimed at you, but why buy such an expensive car, and then spend all your time changing it.

Its something someone said earlier on in the forum and i agree. Big fan of lowering, but i couldnt afford insurance and big fan of the usual, low key mods but i guess im not brave enough to make it something different when it cost so much to start with :uhm:

Do like the interior though!! Big Fan :D

Scratch that, just seen the post from 21st April... Looks suave! Alloys look nice in black.

^^^thanks bro

another little update, the eagle eye'd amongst you might have noticed that the A3 was sat like crap at DC11 and GTI inters, about an inch higher than it was before...due too new coilovers etc etc

im glad to say thanks to shakey its back down lowwer and wider than it was before, after a lot of hard work put in by him! its had arches flared and rolled all round, about an inch taken out of the front and the same at the rear, some camber has been added to the rear wheels to accommodate the et29 offset out back (added 12mm spacers)

i also had the headlining and pillars trimmed in alcantara which looks awesome, and have now got an s-line optic grill up front, with a us number plate plinth which finishes of the front end quite nicely.

heres the pics taken by carlatron...

thanks bro! hows yours doing? you win inters? i didnt stay for the results

cars looking dope man :D where you getting you my11 lights from? and are the xenon?

cheers guys, and yea the both the grill and the rear lights are from NHN on here, top bloke

love the head lining! Cars looking really tidy now mate, nice job... Think u need some side skirts to finish it off??

i dunno, i like the smooth bumper look i think, also i would need s3 front bumper to run skirts, and im not really on the s3 kit at all.

Yeah I know what you mean Max, but the S3 sides and rear do sit well with the s-line front.

Love the new pics mate and it was looking good at inters the other sunday

thanks bro! tried to pm you but inbox was full, ill just reply on here

took about 3 or 4 days of hacking stuff out of the rear arches and rolling and flaring the arches!

the problem isnt really the rolling as such, its more the inside of the arches! it seems like its really shallow, so when we first tried the wheel rim was actually comming up and scrubbing against the inside of the arch, the arches are pretty flat as standard, but they seem like they arnd very deep on the inside if you get what i mean?

cost about 300 quid, but he only charged me for 2 days labour and it took about 4!

hope that helps bud

max

incidently anyone got any pics of sline sides and rear with s-line front bumper?

thanks mate! looks so much better now the stance is sorted tho, you wouldnt believe how much difference an inch and a bit makes!

any more progress on the car? any more pics? looks fantastic

not much progress at the moment bud! just had to have the fan unit replaced so that was fun! all the fuses went in the sound system, then the audio people i took it too in norwich kerbed one of my wheels!!! so if anything its gone backwards :-(

did pick up this tho! for a bargain price

What audio set up you got? Sorry to hear about the wheel

System spec -

JL Audio XD400-4 4 channel amplifier
JL Audio 12"w3v2-2 subwoofer
JL Audio c3 650 csi component set in factory locations with reinforced baffles.
DYNAMAT.

there you go mate, yea cheers man, such a ridiculous thing to happen at a so called "audio specialist" cant even drive a car round the side of the building without curbing a wheel

Got some nice kit in there. It is f*cking annoying, most people just don't care unless its their own. hope u get it sorted soon.

Id change the wheels and grille pretty sharpish

+ 1 The Orange wheels looked pants to me.... unless you like Tango!!!

Audis look best with Audi OEM parts IMHO or they can look like Blinged up Vauxhall Corsas rather than peaches from Ingolstaadt. BUT it's your car. your money just make sure you tell your Insurance Company about any MOds or you are not insured!!

Just out of interest mate do you need the amp to power the components or does the headunit have a built in one that is capable enough? And how did you mount them with the crossovers? And are they 3 piece components?
