The TQS Owners thread

no you dont have to enter the show and shine to go m8, yeh would be good place meet up

I knew it. Syvo, source some braided lines as well, they make a noticeable difference.

Are they Carriers by any chance Mr Westy?

lol i nipped out for some dinner and people are talking about me already lol.

westys carriers and lines are desting for the bumble bee.

btw got the coilovers sorted had to cut and weld my drop links as dpm didnt send me any, got 10mm spacers on front waiting on tie arms still been 6 weeks now and 10mm spacers for rear should be ere end of week.

just got those to fit and trackrod end. ow yeh and silicone tip bought 2nd hand from awesome yesterday sfs tip £40 bargin of the century so got that to fit also, then westys carriers and get some brembo discs any pics on the pads btw westy.

then only exhaust and map left to do its pulling together nicely past month or two.

shame about not going aitp but will be there next year defo any of you going edition 38?

Yeah, you've supplied around 1/2 of the active TQS owners with them! :beerchug::beerchug:
As well as an FMIC and an array of knowledge...

Doubt it on the ED38 front, cars not in show condition, so AITP will probably be the 1 and only for me this year. How come you're not going to AITP?

sweet neil will have money ready next satday for ya m8.

im not going AITP because car is due mot next satday and got few bits to finish off also need to fit all parts and touch up some paint rady for edition 38

another part to add to me list lol

s3 rear bumper.

so got s3 rear bumper, hid kit, front headlights, exhaust and map maybe clutch to buy and fit.

then move onto interior.
two 10" infinity perfect 10 subs to fit along with vibe amp,
s3 8p gear knob and gater to fit and buy

spraying to do.
5 stone chips on roof
1 stone chip on drivers wing
3 stone chips on bonnet
1 stone chip on drivers cill
1 stone chip on passenger door
touch up bottom of passanger door
touch up behind tailgate
respray wing mirrors to match car
paint callipers same as car and fit audi stickers

im hopping end of this year will have everything finished so can just go show after show after show next year

stage 2 map will keep me happy then its a case of making the thing look mint wanna go in show and shine for most shows next year so the detailing addiction will become worse lol good bye weekends hello hours of cleaning hehe.

ive looked at some fast cars but when ever i go shows its nothing about how fast the car is its how nice it looks and the way it sits.
i did look at air ride while at awesome yesterday £1k for some bags not bad but had just fitted the coilovers so sticking with them and waiting for them to bed in so can wind them down some more.

the car will be low but not slow. 230 bhp will keep me happy took mums tt out the other day and 225 bhp is decent power so extra 5 possibly 10bhp will do me fine keeps it reliable and nippy.

the gt30 etc has gone way out of the window hybrid is a possibility for the future i think the car will be staying for longer than expected after the attention i got off it yesterday at the show made me think not a bad car after all just need so tweeking and bits of touching up and we onto a winner reesy

Syvo so you're going for the show approach while I'm aiming to do a shed load of track days next year :racer: stone chips can wait ;)

yeh m8 show approach is on the cards next yr went with trackdays with last car got everything done and never got round to getting it on track lol.

Syvo where did you get your r32 arbs from? How much?

not got them yet m8 iirc they were 180 or 190 for the pair from VW included bushes etc.
im thinking of just going for the rear as front looked a pita

Dont do it! I may try this at the Ring though as they do some 101 octane fuel ;)

It's 102 Ron dude :D even better!

I forget the name of the place, but it's the blue station in adeneau, and it's a sister company of BP, as the 102 is Ultimate 102 with the same logo as BP ultimate.

Amazingly, the 102 in adeneau was also 1c cheaper per litre than Eds was for 97 Ron super!

I ran the track car on it when i was last there, and it ****** flew!

That's the one. We normally stay at the hotel in Adenau that is just after the bridge after the petrol station.

I did a lap last year with VCDS logging the whole lap and I hardly got any timing pull at all on the 102 octane, it's great stuff.

the exhaust may have to be put back further people as woke up saturday morning to find a nice big key mark all the way down one side of me car and because its pearl i have to get the full side resprayed.

if i find the lad who did it he will never look the same again i will make sure off that.

so £500 down the drain to get whole side resprayed pita.

had to cancel edition also because dont think car will be ready for show and shine so saves me a bit of money that way but rearly wanted to go.

Are you coming to ADI mate?

Shame about the car, especially when it was nearly ready for the show and shine. Do you think they'll be able to match it in o.k?

Not entirely sure what going to happen about the exhaust now anyway, after walking around AITP, and seeing all the S3's, I'm very tempted.

not a clue westy my m8s car got done on same night so think some one round warrington dont like mine and me m8s 350z although i have parked the car in the same spot at my gf's for 4 years and no problem until friday night it got keyed.

£500 for full side repray and also all touch ups ie stone chips on roof bonnet other wing and inside door sills so car will be fuly done at once and wingmirrors painted also.

the exhaust and remap are going on the back burner untill next yr as gonna get interior done and do my boot build and make sure car is show preped for first show of the year next yr. in a way its stoped me going all out getting every thing at once and can now finish the car excluding exhaust and map which i can look forward to for early next year. i still will be having the bgrakes of ya westy this weekend will send payment.

car is going in for every show and shine next yr as i will be locked in the garage with the car detailing and sorting out the look of the car then will finally start a thread on ere of the progress.

lol thought the s3's might change your mind, i would do the same but would want the same colour but s3 so gonna just carry on with the exhaust and map etc but gonna leave them till next year now.

unfortunatly i wont be at either aitp or edition 38 this year car is going into hibernation for some major detailing and interior and tidying up modifications. so once ive sorted out the paint issue will start a plan with the interior and the audio then move onto under the bonnet over winter this year have all preped for show and shine next yr starting at ultimate dubs.

hoping to get some awards and stuff with the car.

Westy - Leave it and keep picking up awards for it, albeit wooden spoons.

Syvo, I would still recommend a remap, it's not majorly expensive, but well worth it. Even if you don't do anything else, performance wise.

no worries westy.

my plan was the same but as of this happening it the other way round lol sort paint work then finish off two last thing exhaust and map.
supose on good thing is i only have one side of the car to remove swirls from now lol

I'm back from Iceland! God what an unforgettable place! Though I was driving my mates round in a Golf 1.4TSi Auto hire car the whole tome, maaaaan my A3 feels so good in comparison :D!!

I cant see the video but is it the older supercharged version? If so i`d get a normal Cooper S and spend the difference on modding it. Work out cheaper than buying a GP works in the first place. My mate had one and then had an induction kit, intercooler and 19% pully fitted and it went from standard 165bhp odd to around 215bhp. That was only like 1100quids worth. Handle pretty good as standard so just a set of springs would be ideal to start with.

He got his done at 1320 mini in St Neots and they said for the small amount of work it had done it was one of the highest figures they`d seen.

The newer turbo engines are pretty poor and arent as tunable so he`d tell me from reading over the mini forums.

yeh super charged version 2004 plate cooper s or jcw im looking at,

basically cheaper than mine to insure, quicker, more reliable, uses less fuel.
and that nice supercharger whine i may still keep this yet as im half way through finishing the car and get one next year just going for test drive see what they are like so not leaving audi sport yet.

hmm the standard cooper option sounds good found this who i know are highly recomended when it comes to mini's

GTT220+ ecu remap + optimised bypass valve + high temp iridium sparkplugs + GTT supercharger pulley + shorter 'stickier' drive belt + GTT twin bearing idler pulley. + GTT 'cold ram' induction system £995+vat FITTED

company called gtt

Syvo, I don't know if he's told you yet, but Westy's brake are off of his car now
