What's the time now?

00:43 - watched Juno and now watching Ocean's Thirteen, start a new job at 9am in the morning which I'm looking forward to. I should really get to bed but it's too warm and the cast of Ocean's Thirteen is keeping me amused...
00.50 Hey Lauryn, well done on the job. Oceans thirteen is worth staying up for tho. Hope everything goes ok with the new job. |Enjoy the movie. I will pm you tomorrow.

Thanks Sandra, it's not ideal or what I really want but its less than 2 miles from home, good money, and it will take the pressure off my current situation. I'll speak to you tomorrow, hope you're well :)

P.S. 00:53 - bedtime!

You really should Lauryn. will catch up tmrw. Good luck. Have fun. Goodnite.

05:42 what a grizzly rainy morning, good luck lauryn.

10.01 weather report this morning said the temp in London is going to be 28 degrees... so I got dressed in my t-shirt, 3/4 shorts and sandals.... sitting at work waiting for the sun to come out though...

Lauryn, good luck on the first day... your the new fish

and for anyone out there that has started fasting today... Ramadan Mubaruk! (and good luck on the 17 hour fast)

11.55 - Agreed. Was driving a 2.0TDI for the weekend and the backroads just didn't feel the same in a dirty derv.. Think I may make the move into a 2.0T. They look a lot better exterior and interior to a GTi, and insurance is a lot cheaper also. Was finding it hard to find a 2.0TDI Sline with my £10k budget, but there are a few 2.0T's.

12:02 - Try and get a DSG 2.0T if you can. Such a good box and engine combo. You'll blow away most other cars on the road with. I'm always surprising beemers etc because they assume its a diesel as most A3s are.

12.07 - That is true, most A3's I ever see are 2.0TDI's. Ive been contemplating the DSG box and I'm yet to read a bad review. Found a cracking example of an 2.0T DSG here.

12:11 - Yep, looks very nice mate. I "paid" (a good part-ex was involved) about £11k for my Sport, same year and mileage, a year ago.
Seriously go for a DSG though. I wasn't sure at first but proper glad that I went for it. It's going to make it very hard for me to ever go back to a manual.

Note: If you can only find a Sport to buy, I've got a set of genuine s-line alloys for sale. :eyebrows:

13:03 - Diesel for the win. I drove from Andorra to Roscoff on a tank. 10 hours of driving and about 700 miles. :)
I don't think diesels have the stigma that they once had.

13:14 - When it comes to 8Ps......

If you want mileage --> diesel.
If you want speed --> petrol.
;)

13.18 yes but then you could always get a diesel and map it for some more speed... granted its no where near as quick as the petrols with maps but its still a good compromise and it will do the miles when you feel like just cruising....

13:24 - That is true.
I do get irritated by the amount of time I spend at the pump. But if I drive VERY gently then I can manage about 400 miles to the tank, which isn't bad. Not that far short of your derv.

PS: lol @ the way we can talk about anything in this thread, as long as you put the time next to it.

13.27 400 miles in a petrol is not bad! but my 500 miles has motorways driving at 80-90 mph lots of driving around silly London with the traffic, road works and constant stopping for bikes
if i drove extra carefully i am sure i could get the miles up loads more.

13.33 I'll give ya £100 for it! how abouts it? :p
and if you want il even give you my 17" sports :)
what you got on the car then?

13:37 - Deal!! £100 per wheel to that man in the derv!

They are still on my car but I should receive a different set in the post pretty soon. Fingers crossed.

13:41 - push bikes or motorbikes ?

13:54 - I ride motrobike everyday, and I hate these pushbikes using middle of bus lanes, they think they are important or something and dont care about anyone else

motorbikes are not that bad, are they? I had never had a trouble with car drivers myself, I ride quite fast and before I manage to get in a way of a car I am far far away :sly:

13.56 - Its worse when there is no bus lane so they decide to go into the roads and weave around parked cars and cars stuck in traffic...
I had a pushbike owner try to weave into the middle of the road and then have the nerves to complain when he was overtaken by me when he cut me up!

i might just open my door up on one of them for a laugh :jester:

14:08 - I hate when pushbikes shift lanes without indicating, and they think they are on push bike so they can do whatever. other word you looking to hate is mopeds, they are slow and always blocking other riders. I know that experienced rider on big proper motorcycle which can accelerate to 60 in under 4s wont make any trouble for you, they move to fast to do any harm. its just pushbikes and mopeds:)

14.11 to be fair mate in the post where i said "bikes" i meant push bikes... i always call motorbikes by their name.
Motorbikes only annoy me when im driving down a motorway and one just sits in the far right lane doing 70mph and refuses to move.

14:36 - They only reason I would sit on motorway in fast lane doing 70 mph would be a muppet in the car going slow and wanting not to move in front of me. I am usually the one who sits on the back of the cars and flashes at idiots in them.

15.10 70mph is the legal speed limit lol.

16:29 my eyes are about to pop out their sockets, my brain is about to explode, I need to go home and have a rest. Wow what a productive day again. *quite proud* Good work Lauryn, hope this week is good for you, and many weeks/months/years after that. :)

16:40 - correct 70mph is the limit but when you have 70mph on the clock it means you are going at around 10% less as that's how the speedos are built. Indicated 77mph is safe as it's real 70mph (on my gps at least) but you can go away with doing real 75mph so it's about 82mph indicated.... now imagine muppet in car afraid of touching 70 mph indicated, so he keeps his speed in 67-68mph area... and what's more middle and left lanes are empty. flash at idiot he doesn't move anyway. undertake and you braking the law.

what's wrong with all these people going in middle lane when left one is empty? doesn't law say you are supposed to use nearest possible lane?

17.36 has been a long day.
