ASN's Pub

Think very carefully about what you do. Dont give her hope if its not a serious thing for you. You have to both sit down and talk things through without the sex. If you can get by the problems and insecurities and trust issues, then thats good, but if you cant, she remains an ex. 2 years together is not really a long time to get to know someone properly. Maybe try just veing friends, dating etc for a while. Keep it simple. Sorry for preaching. I hate seeing people get hurt. I wont say any more.

No i'm happy to hear people's input

We know that a lot of talking and a lot of work has to be put into this if it's gonna work. We've got a year to sort things coz she's tied into her new lease in Bedford until then so plenty of time to work through things

I was the same mate. Never do pain killers or any type of pills but I wasn't sleeping, was loosing a lot of weight and was generally a miserable sod to be around. I decided to give them a go and they have definitely helped.

I wasn't sleeping and was losing weight too, but instead of straight forward sleeping pills he tried the prozac, which i'm just not a fan of

Trust me mate I'm one of the most anti (excuse the pun) pill person you'll ever meet. I never understood depression until I was suffering from it myself, I never understood how people could say they were depressed over things like relationships.

I also lost interest in everything I once enjoyed, my car, the gym, football. I started drinking a lot and wasn't interested in getting out of bed to go to work. That was when I knew I needed the pills.

I've now put my weight back on (well a bit of it) I'm back interested in sport and life again and I'm emotionally a hell of a lot stronger.

Has the mrs had a go at you for buying a heap? :)

If she mentioned that, I would not let her drive it again. She's addicted to it. Serviced it last night, and fitted an old K&N I had so we've got some whoop-tsssh out of it.

She's so happy with driving it it's funny. lol

Good for you mate :) glad things are better for ya!

I've learnt to be independant all my life so i've managed to make myself interested in things to keep me busy so that i don't think about things that make me upset

Well if you ever want to chat about anything out the pub PM me. I've been through some pretty bad sh!t with the ex so I know where you're coming from.

My goodness, we all sounding like agony aunts today. Lol.

I'm trying to replace my discs on the Mondeo at the moment. I've opted for the ASBO (Focus ST) upgrade but for the life of me i can't get the fecking carriers bolts undone to get the calipers off!!! I need to paint them before i put them on!!!

Ooo Nice, unfortunately it's on the works skoda so no upgrades here

Talking of brakes, I should have some freshly powder coated and sealed Porka Boxster 4 pots going on in a week :yahoo:

That will look sweeeeeeeet!

Moooorning.
Damo, how long had you been driving it with a dodgy disc?

S3Dave - Decaf is not the way to go. Decaf is for girls

Just yesterday really dude. Don't think the 200 mile round trip on m ways helped ;)

Agreed de caff is for chicks!!

Morning guys. Ok so a quick catch up in the pub, we have damo with his broken down car, no lycra for W3sty, nice boat trip for Scott, decaf coffee, brakes for cars, and thats just in the last hour. Its going to be an interesting day full of topics to keep it amusing. Whats the weather like for everyone today. Hope you all have sunshine.

Yo yo Sandra the weather is cracking the flags in manchester and I'm in a sweaty drop in centre dripping, how you feeling today??

Damo, im so so, thanx. Glad your mobile and the weather is good for you. Going to sign out of here for a few hours, got stuff to do. Really want to be outside in sunshine, but aint going to be happenning. Could fair go a nice cup of filter coffee.

Mate, Tam and I would rip you hand off for that car but we dont have anywhere to keep it. We want an S3 to track ;)

Find somewhere! lol

My drive is mad, I have a BMW 1 series stuck there unsold, and the owner has decided to export it into Australia, which is going to take another month, this S3 I'm trying to sell, had to move my mk2 Golf to the back of my shop, and there's the school run Rav4 and the workhorse Passat Wagon!

I feel like a car dealer struggling to trade!! lol

Got some little ones coming over in 30 minutes also haha, that's going to be fun.

just keep it then jojo.

I will if it doesn't sell in the next 6 days, the point is, I have 2 of them, and I'm only insured to drive one of them. I really want to attend AitP in my original S3, but so long as S3 number2 is here, I will just be using it.

Sandra makes an excellent point.... Wait until the market picks back up.

The longer you keep it, and not drive it, then less the mileage will effectively become....

I think the mileage issue is past that stage @156k miles lol. Runs surprisingly good for the mileage though... even I'm mightily impressed!

Ok guys, i need to go do some stuff for a few hours, should be interesting reading when i get back, lol. Such a busy pub today. Btw everyone, where is ads, he not been on or have i just missed it. Think scott has the best day day today, away sailing, lol. I hope you all manage to have a nice lunch.

As long as it is reliable BHP - not that Bill doesn't know his Onions.

Seems a never ending saga getting more and more power out of these S3s.

Welly good find on the TT repair BBA have a pretty good rep - my mate's garage uses them a lot.

Be covering the office on my own this afternoon - everyone else will be working from home for various reasons.

Sun is showing through the clouds down here on the Hamble River - might have to walk out on the deck for a few minutes free sea air.

I've been down the galley for some food, half a pizza, small tub of beans, 2 chip butties, small pile of chips left on the plate, a BTL baget, half a pint of slim fast (it was left over from yesterday) and a 30min walk around the base.
I'm bit full up, bit sweaty, bit hot, need a big poo and I still need to have my river trip jolly.
Poo first then jolly I think.
