BATTLEFIELD 3

im the same right now, im trying to platinum all my guns on BC2. didnt realise i had been playing BC2 for 240hours lol. i have one on my friend list who has played it for 1445hours......thats some serious playing time

I've nearly clocked up 600 hours. Been rank 50 for ages but working through the guns.

I tend to play conquest most. If you fancy joining me for a few rounds add my PSN W-E-S-T-L-E
 
im xbox dude otherwise id have joined up for a few matches, i usually play rush but like a good squad batlle with my mukkas
 
I love how the enemies red dot sight blinds you for a second! and how the gun flash lights are so bright, epic!!
 
I hope that EA sort out their online servers for BF3. The lag and server issues on BC2 are so bad at times that it ruins the game.

I'd quite happily pay for a years subscription to play online with PSN if they would sort out the servers.
 
I like how the assault and medic classes are combining and theres now a seperate suppost class!

Also glad you can now lie down, and snipers have to hold breath when aiming.

Most looking forward to multiplayer night maps, night vision, flashlights i think this game is going to require a few days off work.

For those who have not ordered this yet, make sure you order it from GAME as they are the only place that give you the extra guns etc from the start

Just annoyed there are so many A* Games out in Oct/Nov
 
i shall be pre ordering next week and from game.

when it comes to games for the xbox all i know is battlefield, fifa and forza so anyone else tell me what are the top games coming out soon apart from cod mw3 which i shall be getting also.

im not into many genres of games mostly like 1st shooters and racing games
 
This game will be played here on the PC,MW3 will be xbox
 
i only wish i had a super PC to play battlefield 3 on.

will it be that much better on PC than on console????

Not as much as you may think

All the videos shown of bf3 are xbox 360 footage.

The game is being made on the xbox and ported to the pc, obcourse it may be a higher res on the pc but I don't think it will as much of a performance gap as you think
 
Jimmy Fallon had PS3 footage last month.
TBH BBC2 looks good so this will no doubt be better.
 
Wow some great videos there.

Love the fact you can now lie down, although its difficult to tell if there dead or not sometimes.

Clearly those videos are not hardcore mode, hardcore will me much better as it wont take 4 sniper rounds to put someone down.

Excellent knife kills though, love it cant wait for this!
 
Well, the important thing is that i will be playing this in around 6 weeks!

what is beta then as ive never known but it comes up alot

and can someone confirm what are the maps for multiplayer in bf3. think i saw something about new york, i so wish there is going to be a new york map

Isn't conquest for campers? ;-)

I don't know how people get platinum for some of the weapons. Still trying to get those pesky wheel pins, me.

There are a lot of people camping in conquest, especially if you play hardcore mode as there is no kill cam to see where your killer was.

I just prefer the openess of conquest compared to the bottle necked rush maps. Rush just feels like the same game being played again and again to me.

So how do you know what the PC version will be like, then? PC will have a higher resolution, which counts for a lot, with so much going on and the necessity for pin-point accuracy (and no auto-aim). 2560 x 1600 on a 30 inch monitor is jaw-dropping.

Also isn't it 64 players compared to only 24 on console?

Factor in DirectX 11 for complex shading etc and I can't see how you won't be able to notice the difference. Don't get me wrong - I have nothing against consoles, owning a PS3 as well as a PC, but I cannot see how it would be possible for a six year old Xbox to be able to keep up with, say, a recently purchased £1k PC with overclocked i7 and top-end crossfired Radeons on board.

Best thing to do is wait and see...

I dont know mate, all i know is that all the majority of videos you have seen so far are the xbox 360 version, so think how good the PC version is going to look!

Fair play mate. How come you only have six weeks to wait? Some kind of pre-ordering beta club-type caper?

Im off to GAMEFEST at the NEC in september, and battlefield will be there to play.

Also if you bought medal of honour you will have a VIP invite to the beta when is released mid september
