ASN's Pub

Morning Scott, Damo, W3sty and Crazy88. I hope you all have a good day and the weather is nice.

How long till you open up your own wrapping business full time?

It's one of them scott... I'll keep going in the day job until totally flat out. Then hopefully one day will be able to just do the wrapping. Our main problem is most of our work is for others, we only just started to push our name out really so it'll be slowly slowly I think.

No doubt it'll buy a new pram :wtf:!

Feeling Yr pain mate. I keep telling the little one to get a job and pay his way. Don't think he understands lol

I'm alive :yahoo:

I did time myself on the mountain bike but it was down the toe path where as this mornings route was on the road. I need to raise the saddle a bit more and tilt the handle bars up slightly as it was a bit too low.

I need to work out how to measure the frame of the bike as it might be a size too small for me.

As crazy said dude. If you need a coupe more inches on Yr reach you could always get a laid back seat post

I picked up the £1200 worth of racing bike and my mate said I can give it a go before deciding if I want it or not. ****** hell it's good! It's so light and effortless compared to my mountain bike.

I was gunning it up and down the road and up hills like they werent there.

I'll probably buy it but I need to work out whether the frame is too small for me or not

Looking forward to my next ride now.
Frame size guides are a plenty on the new for example this one Bicycle Frame Size Charts

Layback post, and make it a little higher as Damo says! Depends on how long you ride it for. Perhaps take it to a good decent shop and get their opinion?! It also depends on leg length don't forget. I'm 6'3, but haven't got THE longest legs, so a smaller frame isn't too bad for me. What's your inside leg measurement? You may have to get a woman to assist with this one ;)

Check out these fram sizes at the bottom of this page for the exact frame I have:

2011 Kinetic-One SK Alu-Carbon Road Racing Bike

This bike has this frame: (55cm seat tube c-t / top tube 55.5 cm c-c) 5ft 9 to 6ft

My leg measurement is 91cm / 35.8 inches

The sadle can come up a bit more so I think it'll be ok but I will be looking at doing some long rides on it 60 - 100 miles so I dont want it to cripple me.

westy, you nutter.
I use to 15 miles and I hated it.
Doing 2-4miles a week now and i'm happy with that. lol

I really enjoyed the 60 mile London to Cambridge so I've got my eye on a few more rides coming up but want to be on the correct bike this time.

I've done some reasearch online and it's so complicated working out angles that seats should be at and handle bars to ensure your weight is distributed correctly!

If you're doing longer rides and serious then i'd seriously consider getting a proper bike fitting! Like you say, the last thing you want is to be crippled from a dodgy sized bike. Even if it costs you a few quid at least you'll know.

Can you sell this bike for a tidy profite and put it towards a properly measured bike?

That's my plan. This is such a steal that I'd be stupid not to buy it anyway. I'll get it adjusted properly and do a 10-15 mile ride and see if I'm ok. If it's no good I'll flog it and get one that's a bit bigger.

Are you buying it for silly cheap then? (Did I miss a post saying that already? lol) If so, buy and try, then sell like mentioned :)

However...you'll have to remember that you'll be then used to a nice light carbon frame, so you'll need to buy another carbon one ha!

It's a £1200 bike as standard and this has about £200 worth of extras too! It's being solde by a mate at work for £250. He's only used it twice and the frame was too big for him. A set of wheels for this bike brand new are £200 by themselves! I can get some 17" alloys for my car at that price.

It's a full alu frame and is extremely light. I can get carbo upgrade bits for it but it's a lovely ride compared to my mountain bike.

£250! Buy it! :) I recently built up my road bike from a £60 frame off eBay and it ended up costing £400.

So much for me saving money by cycling lol.

I think it'll be ok for me once I've got everything in a comfortable position.

Kiss good bye to that idea. Bikes are good fun but you will go through parts like no tomorrow. The amount of shocks, rear mounts, bb's cranks iv gone through is enough to put you off lol. And like anything everytime you replace you go for better, but it still breaks lol never ending payouts but well worth it.... Just give up on moving out dude. It ain't going to happen haha

:(

I've already started looking at houses with a hope of moving out next year. I need to hit the savings hard again over the winter.

Morning all.

Tried recording the noise, but all you can hear is distortion. Couldn't jack the car up because the brother in law had the jack and I CBA to drive and get it. I might sort that tonight, as I am getting really fed up of the squeaky noise :banghead:

I got to fix the fan on the pug again.
That car breaks more than my XR4x4. Its such a pain in the ***.
The misses wants to drive it on thursday to bristol but she's not driving that car through bristol town centre with no cooling fan.
SO much for a relaxing evening tonight.

Bummer Scott always something to do, you still running the xr4???? Lurvly;)

Reesy looks like it's annoying thing all round the pub. My s3 drives like **** since I changed the alloys. Need to look into it soon as I get two minutes ( westy did you use STD bolts on Yr fronts into the 20mm adapter)

Also just drove to Liverpool and now the octi's developed a wobble ***. Only slightly when rolling but more so when breaking. Think someone been loosening bolts lol.

Westy good thing about a new house, new rooms to christen..... It's smashin time;)

I love the car when it's going, and so far (he says praying) I haven't had anything massive to deal with other then general maintenance and servicing, but it has a couple of rattles and this squeak which are really ******* me off! I'll get there eventually, just around the time it comes to flog the old girl on.
I won't be taking mine to AITP as she's not really in show condition yet, though I aim to do one before I get rid of it.

There must be a woman close by that will assist with the inside leg measurement, you could make her day, lol.

My car is no where near show condition, I'm not sure if I will even clean it before.
Take you're audi and show it off. :D

I would rather be chauffeur driven (and possibly have a drive) in the Audi we're going in, as mine is doing a lot of miles at the moment anyway... Plus, I can pass comment on your cars safe in the knowledge that no one knows what mine is like!

Sh!t me, the Don of Smudge is alive.

what you been up to then?
I'm still waiting on them pics.
how did you break your hand.
Hey where is ads hiding as well, not had any input for a day or two, is he on holiday?
