Got in car yesterday and there was a funny smell coming from the vents, switched aircon off and the smell stayed. Turned the blowers off altogether and the smell went?

It is not the normal foisty aircon smell but it is similar.

Anyone got any idea what it could be?

When did you last have your aircon serviced/regassed?

Probably last July when I bought it. Was gonna do an aircon bomb but with it still smelling even with it off I wasn't sure if it was pollen filter.

Take the filter out, run a sinkful of hot water with washing powder and leave the filter to soak for an hour. Then give it a clean up with an old toothbrush, dry overnight and pop it back in.

How much you pay. For them each mate and where from? I'm due a service shortly so might bomb the aircon for now and get the pollen filter done on service?

I'll soak it for now like Jeff says.

Cheers guys, the smell seems to have gone now which is odd, im gonna cleant the filter nd cherry bomb the aircon anyway so hopefully it wont come back.
