Before anyone gets mad, I don't mean I don't see a difference before/after fitting them, this is a "shopping" query. I had a quick check on ebay for ARBs and found these

H&R ANTI-ROLL BAR (F&R) AUDI A3 (8P)/OCTAVIA,GOLF V&VI | eBay

and these
H&R ANTI-ROLL BAR (F&R) AUDI A3 (8P)/LEON,OCTAVIA,GOLF | eBay

I don't see any difference, other than price. Surely they're both the same 24/26 pair I'm after, right? Anyway, went to awesome to see if they had them cheaper and came across these

Awesome - H&R Front + Rear Anti Roll Bar Kit-FR:24/RE:26mm- A3+A3 Sportback+S3 +S3 Sportback, Quattro -Typ 8P, 4WD-09/03>

and these

Awesome - H&R Anti Roll Bars - Pair - A3 8P 4WD 03-> + Golf 5 R32

Now I'm getting confused... so, over to dpm and I see these (and only these)

H&R 24mm Front & 26mm Rear Anti Roll Bars S3 8P / S3 8P Sportback 2.0T FSi Quattro 11/06> - £350.00 : The premiere online mail order VAG suspension and performance specialists. We offer a wide range of all the best branded suspension and performance

So, what's going on here? Does Damian not have the super-secret H&R alternative items? Or are ebay and awesomegti both just advertising the same things for 2 different prices each?

Thanks for clearing that up Eddy, and for the link. I'll see if dpm can do me a good deal (usually able to discount the online prices if you ask nicely) once I'm home and looking for coilies too.

The reason I went for H&R over eibach or the likes was mainly because they are "tried and tested" by many members on here.

I got H&R springs for my S3 and wanted to compliment them with the ARB's since I was very impressed with them.

Yeah, I had H&Rs on my 8L and they were fantastic so keen to do the same for my 8P.

Me too mate, nearly went for the eibachs as I had the pro street coil overs, but the TTshop convinced me to go h&r.. Ended up with that same combo on both my 8L S3 and mk1 TT.. Loved it!

I just mean H&R ARBs - I'm going coilovers on the 8P, but never changed the standard suspension on the 8L. Do you have coilovers on your 8P or standard shocks and H&R springs (which I hear get "exciting" over 80mph).

Tbh I'm really disappointed with the h&r springs! They're pretty bad for fast driving.. Better than standard over small bumps etc (not as "crashy").. I'm going to bite the bullet soon on coilys.. I really loved my eibachs.. Fantastic ride at all speeds, perfectly suited to our ***** roads and mega planted..none of this lowering springs head-nodding crap... Guess that's why they're a lot dearer...!

Can't say I have noticed any problems with the H&R springs at high speeds - I definately did notice a difference once fitted that the car handled better and then with the addition of the ARB's, it increased again!

It is more harsh with the ARB's it but it is a small sacrifice for a great handling car IMO!

I wonder if it's because I have the s line dampers?? Either way, this is my first go at lowering springs... I've always gone with coilys before.. I think I'm heading back in that direction...
