A few widebody conversion questions

Right i am gradually going to be collecting all the bits to do a widebody conversion on My pre facelift S4 and have a few questions. Bare in mind mine is a PRE facelift
I have a rear bumper already including crash bar, is there anything else needed to fit this?
I have a bare front bumper, can i re-use my existing crash bar to fit this? Do i need different shocks? Do i need different front wing mounts?
How are the rubbing strips on the doors fixed? Are they just double sided taped on?
So i need side skirts, rear doors and facelift fronts so i have matching door handles, rear quarters, fuel flap door, front bumper grills and fogs,
Anything ive missed?

Don't think the RS4 rear bumper will fit the saloon given the different shape of the boot, but I may be wrong. Most of the widebody's i've seen tend to just get the standard rear bumper flared to match the arches.

You won't need new front bumper shocks. Part number of pre-facelift ones is 8D0 807 134 C, for RS4 it's 8D0 807 134 D - but they look physically identical. I believe the RS4 bumper does use different clips at the side though, so you will need those.

Have you got RS4 arch liners? Not sure if you've missed them by accident, but your list above doesn't have front wings!
You'll also need to carefully choose your wheels or check that yours will be suitable for spacers (ie: not need stupidly huge spacers).

I think his car is an avant, he was talking about roof rails the other day.

Front bumper on the RS4 apparently doesnt use side mounts, and theres nothing listed in ETKA for them. I think the bumper screws onto the wing or something.

Thanks for the replies. Yes my car is an avant. Cant believe i missed the front wings out and arch liners.
Also will the aluminium bumper reinforcing bar from my S4 bumper fit inside the RS4 one or will i need to source an RS4 one?

I think the RS4 bumper shocks are longer?

You will need all 4 doors i think. No trims on the rs4 doors.

OK thats clear this up.

You will need the bumper bar for the RS4 and the shocks but you can get away with using the stock shocks but have to use taped up washers to space the bumper out to fit.

The front bumper bolt up to the wings on the bottom edge of the wings and there is a little bracket for the lower part of the bumper to make it a little more steadier but I did not bother once the liners were bolted in it was all good.

The rear bumper may need the side bracket as it may be a little different to the S4 side bracket but other than that it should be a strait swap.

Also note your undertray will no longer fit and will need the RS4 unit if your going to use one.

i spoke to them yesterday. breakers cant read so email is unlikely.

lots of high end stuff has gone, wheels, interior etc, but the body is still there.
get your angle grinder and lots of discs!
