Just interested in how many miles S3 drivers do daily. My commute 80 miles a day now albeit temporarily , my normal is 10 miles . Im a bit pee'd off with work putting extra miles on the car . They are great driving roads though , so having fun as well . How many miles a day do you d ?

If I drove the S3 to work and back I'd do 20 miles per day... however, since buying it I let my partner use the S3 whilst I use the umm Fiat Punto 1.2 (shes on maternity and travels with our little one)...

When I had the 3.2 I used it every day, whilst partner and baby travelled in the punto...

I dress it up as saving money on petrol, child safety, and concerns around the S3 being parked in a private (yet very public and un-monitored car park), and some weird desire to keep the miles low (I bought it with low miles)...

Am i being paranoid or just struggling to love the S!? My drive to work isnt very exciting, its more like a shuttle run up a couple of spine roads so I feel the S3 is kind of pointless either sat in traffic or on a couple of v straight roads + parked up all day...

About 5000-6000 a year (work offshore, so only home 6 months a year)... guess that's about 15 miles a day?

Before I sneaked my brothers 1.7CDTI astra after he moved to london, I would have been doing probably at least 30 miles a day. Since then I have moved factories and the work trip is now around 16miles a day. On top of that I go to the gym most days. Rugby is a 56 mile round trip but is shared so I would do the run 2-3 times a month.

If you can afford it, who cares as it is smiles per miles!

I love my S3 and when I get into it after driving the Astra all week I just grin from ear to ear!

When I get mine it will probably do about 5-7k miles a year max. I don't really have a commute and will use it for the odd delivery of larger items that are within an hour or 2. Want a low mileage one though as in a few years it will have a good resale value :)

I do about 6-7k miles per year, because I cycle rather drive to work. Most of the miles are family visits and holidays.

So, my mean average is about 18 miles per day - but the more realistic figure is the modal average (most frequent) of about 100 miles every time I use the S3.

This is it. I know I don't have an S3, but I drive a van daily. So even after 3.5 years of owning my Audi, I still love it as much as day one. This would not be the case if I drove it daily.

i drive mine every day, 15,000 a year and i  it still... although when i use the Van for a day here and there gettin back in the Audi is heaven.....

although i dont use mine every day i still seem to rack up about 7-8k a year and love the car every time, and it can always put a smile on my face, especially when the roads are damp and you can get into a bit of 4 wheel drifting hehe
drove my mums mk4 golf gti the other day for a couple hours and when i got back in the S3 realised how amazing it really is, made me also realise how loud and aggressive it is!

One upside about my company funding one car is I get to keep the S3 as a weekend toy, which is what is was bought for.

The downside is the weekends can be so busy that I don't use it, like last weekend.

The bonus, I live about 6 miles from my office, so can just jump in the S if I fancy it

I've done about 1k in mine since the end of march, but this is mainly due to the fact that its been in the garage for the majority of my ownership:ermm:

500 or so per week, I have done over 22,000 since September going to work and to shows and stuff.

I do about 6 miles a day max lol

I could really cycle to work but as i spend all day running around like a boob the feel of getting in the S3 to come home is just what I need

Plus as I work at Boots main site in notts there is hundreds of people leaving at the end of shift and its like scrappy races with everyone trying to get out first, great fun!

I couldn't handle having the S3 for just a weekend toy, I don't think it's that kind of car. I love driving it everyday (highlight of the day sometimes) and it wouldnt bother me even if I was racking up more than 6-8k a year. If I had a company car or a van, then an S3 probably wouldnt be my choice of private car, but that isn't the case and so I need something which ticks all the boxes for an everyday drive. The S3 does this very nicely...

Its whatever the owner wants it to be in all fairness

My point was really that I couldn't justify owning a second car as a daily run about when there is a perfectly servicable S3 on the drive
all taxed and ticketed etc. etc. I don't enjoy it any less from driving it everyday.

I just get bored quickly if I drive it all the time, I appreciate my car alot more because of it. Had it 3.5 years now and still love it as much as Day 1!
