i was wonding if anybody has every used them to repair scratches on there car and would they recommend them??

personally no i wouldnt, they ruined my mate z3, though i shouldnt tarnish them all with the same brush

Yes I have used them and no they were rubbish, they are franchises so it depends on how good the people running them are.
I had a brush mark on my bumper and they sorted it but it was overspray all over the passenger door,I am the only occupant so never noticed until 6 months later

Bummer I was hoping to use these guys to sort mine out.

Used two different chipsaway franchises and had good service from both. Will end up using again on wifes rear Polo bumper. Pot luck really though.

Bit far for my guy, he is based in High Wycombe.

Soz!

If you plan to sell the car, then they are ok, but for a longer term solution, I'd pay a bit extra and go with a spray booth, especially if you value the car!

It's much easier for them to repair a solid colour than a 2/3 coat metallic/pearl finish.

I used the Cardiff branch a few years ago on my last S3 and they did a good job!

They repaired a bumper scuff and I'm fussy, you couldn't tell where it was repaired!

But as others have said, it all depends on the guy doing it!

So when they touch up stone chips is the bumper then smooth to the touch??

My car got key'd along the passenger door and quite deep earlier this year. Used chips away in Preston, it looks good as knew. Washed and polished numerous times since then and no problems at all
Would recommend them but definitely depends on the guy doing it.
