19 x 8 ET45 Rims/Tyres Question?

Hi guys,

Been reading alot but haven't been able to find the answer.

Currently running 19x8.5 ET45 VMR V709's. Thinking about selling and getting some 19x8 ET45 RS4 or TT-RS reps.

I know with the current wheel I need to run 225/215s to avoid rubbing but with the 19x8 can I get away with 235 or do I still need to run 225s?

I have an S3 8P lowered on KW coils.

On another note, what do you think of these rims? - AU510 OEM Replica TT RS Style Audi VW 19 inch

Very nice wheels, those. I think you'll still need to run 225's on them though Buddy, considering the offset is ET45 and you're lowered. I imagine it'd scrub on 235's TBH.

225s or 215s, hardly any stretch on a 215 on an 8J as there is.

I was considering the 235s for drivability. I have been running 215s for a while and I want get a bit of comfort back into the drive.

Is it going to make a big difference?

Aww, I was just kidding Sweetie What N8 doesn't know about rims, offsets, sizes, STTTRETCHHH etc isn't even worth knowing, ..and let's face it, I only know what I know - not that much TBH lol - from studying so many of N8's posts on the subject of rims and tyres. If I was the OP, I'd only trust something 'our man' has to say on the subject of wheels too! :icon_thumright:
