Have you noticed anything different with the new pump, i think mine is dying, is it just logging how you can tell, or can you get a gauge on the line? mine will just not fire up first time.... second time evertime,

I haven't really nailed it since the new pump has been fitted because I was waiting for the FMIC to be finished, I will do some logging tonight. Block 031 is Lambda Factor which is what Bill logs on his rollers so that should give an indication of fueling.

Since it's been fitted I have noticed how much quieter it is when primed before starting the engine. My old one was really noisy and I cant even hear this one.

My pump was knackered but the car started up first time, you'll probably find that you'll start going on the lean side on fuelling as you hit full chat. Mine's struggled 5k upwards at just 16psi

Exactly the symptoms I was seeing on the rollers. I'm hoping that the logs will show a huge improvement tonight.

This graph shows my struggling fuel pump. The bottom left graph.

Where the graph lines start heading back up is where the pump was unable to produce the amount of fuel requested by the ECU. I'm hoping that the next time i'm on Bill's rollers that line will stay down in the 12s ;)

No doubt you should see an improvement, post the logs up later if you can :)

I think dependant on if it's mapped the S3's need a new pump once they hit 100-120k

I'll be happy with anything under 10 mins and to come home in 1 piece. I dont try to set any records. Prawn is ya man for that.

I don't know if I'd go that far dude :p

If it's any inspiration for you, my Dad managed an 09:47 on his 3rd ever lap ;)

Last few items i ordered from the states made UK shores in 3 days then took a fortnight to clear customs, so i wouldnt worry just yet about the missing pump.

I ordered one from US more than 10 days ago, think got lost.

I'm still waiting for my wheel adapters. They were sent on the 8th. USPS and Auspost combined are very unreliable. Sometimes quick, predominantly slow.

Finally got round to loggin the Toyosport FMIC. Wow what a difference to cooling it makes. I gave har a big thrashing and pulled over to touch the inlet mani, icy cold.

It was 18 degrees ambient temp and I saw a max of 33 degrees on boost mid 20s on cruise. Now that's a bit better than 50 degrees!!!

I may have a boost leak somewhere as the car doesn't seem to be pulling as hard as it was. I'll go round the clips and tighten them all up tomorrow.

Very happy :)

031 looks like it's been sorted :)

Fingers crossed it doesn't lean up if you do find a boost leak, just out of interest Westy, what was the temperature outside?

That's a good result that! Have you got the phenolic gasket on yet?

Just been out 15 degrees amb, late 20s on cruise and drops like a ***** from the onset of boost to 22-19 degrees...i will have to log the same as you,to show you
I cant understand why your temps dont plummet on boost??

Yeah I dont understand either. The only difference is you have a hybrid. Are you still running 24psi?

Its very interesting for me as it is favouring that i dont have a pressure drop as it would be very hot if its boosting at 28+psi (not tested yet by the way, other work things have come up) unless its throwing fuel in like a mofo....

can you log the same blocks I have above Dave, I'd love to know what's going on.

I just had a look back at Tam's logging from a few weeks ago. His intercooler is the same size as my old one but 2 mm thicker and he was registering colder AITs then I am on my Toyosport  I'm going to swap my AIT sensor with his tonight and see what results I get.

they will be converging on the same temps... Do you run a phenolic? your apparent plumet is the AIt sat in the warm inlet manifold vs neils which is cool inlet manifold (cos of my phenolic insulator on there) so all it see's is actual airtemps, not engine temps skewing the ait sensor..

My theory.. based on not knowing if you have a phenolic on yours dave

danes.. on load.. until clutch went *nah* - 3'C rise over ambient during a run at 22psi boost
chemically enhanced cooling of course as well as a larger fmic now

If you look at 390.09 you can see where it has dropped significantly on full boost... (Ignore lol)

Westy are you a Tam running the same boost pressure?

390.09 is on the way back down i think Dave, but you're right, from 380.13,4300rpm the temps keep going up
