my09 lights, difficult upgrade??

Thinking of changing the rear lights on my 55 plate 2.0T to the my09's. Is this a difficult upgrade? coding required? etc,etc

MY11s have the darker edges too, but same simple fit as 09s. Have a search and you should find plenty of both.
