What size discs have we got on the DTM / Spec Ed Solaris? I never can remember lol!
What engine have you got Palmer? as that will affect your choices really, since if you've already got S4 calipers on, there's not much point changing them, unless you want to go RS4 8 Pots...(Would you believe it Wikipedia will tell you they're 6 pots on the normal RS4 Brakes and 8 Pots on the Ceramics, think someone got them the wrong way round... ROFL)
If you don't have S4 Callipers, then an aftermarket set could be the better option, say a properly specc'ed set of Wilwood or AP Racing calipers with road seals, but you'd have to be careful about piston sizes, since your master cylinder could stuggle to deliver enough fluid if it's not big enough, those of us with S4 brakes, say the Special Editions and the DTM's have RS4 master cylinders which deliver plenty of fluid, but others have one half the size (easy to tell, look under your bonnet for a big black circle under your windscreen (Best way of describing it, sorry) if you have one, you've got the smaller one, two stacked on top of each other and you've got the RS4 master cylinder.
After all that, keep balance in mind, you don't want to be over braking the front as you'll actually end up with less breaking efficiency, and you definitely don't want to over brake the rear, as you'll be going all kinds of sideways.
Hope some of that's useful!
