No mate, i got the car and the receipt. The 3.2 was farting about again so i had to chop it fast :). There comes a point where you have to cut your loses and i reached that point and i needed a warranty and piece of mind before i had to shell out another small fortune :)
 
There is something about the current A3/S3 that is sort of iconic..Even the salesman said he didnt expect the new A3 to match up to this model. Bit like the old 3 series coupe, it was pretty well spot on where as the new one just isnt quite right.
 
Give me a week or two and i will let you know. On the face of it the economy seems to be over 30 mpg where as the 3.2 was 27-28 usually
 
Stunning car paddy. Nice colour combination. Looking forward to an update on how it (out) performs the 3.2 :p. Only messing I'm sure you'll miss the howl of the V6 but a good replacement and as someone else has said I think the 8p range will be hard to match up to for any future A3s.

OMG P!!! I'm not on for a few days and this happens!!! . Well well well, you have good taste, its a stunning looking car for sure . Shame for Smelly but she did cause too many problems and cost a bomb!!! Well I will carry the V6 banner for ya as I doubt over here I could change to an S3, not for a good while as the price you would have paid would be a lot less than over here!!!!! Get some mods going, dont let the side down but wow its a gorgeous car. Chuffed for you x
 
Looks great - and a sound choice with the auto shifter.

Your comments about the drive with DSG / S-Tronic are exactly what I thought in the first few weeks. If you're pootling around, it hunts for the highest gear possible and is really docile (goes into 4th in the 20mph zone where I live!).

I've been "learning" the car a bit more recently and using the paddle shifters in certain situations, like when I want to hear the turbo spool-up on part throttle by holding 3rd from 20mph. I still haven't worked out how to use the launch control feature yet, but it doesn't matter much because the S3 is sooooo much quicker than anything I've rolled-up next to at the lights even without a clutch dumping start. :blow:

I think it's also fair to say that while 6 cylinder N/A engines give a lovely warble, equally they can't give angry high pitch spool-up or wastegate chatter noises like a properly turbo'd 4-cylinder motor. Best get a B8 S4/S5 for the best of both. :)

Can someone please advise me of the new address for audi-sport as I seem to have got to the wrong site, this is discussing a Paddy & an S3, never heard such nonsense.
