S4 front wing versus a4 front wing

I need to change one of my front wings on my 1998 S4, am i right in thinking the front wings on the a4 and the s4 are the same. The only visual difference i can see is some a4s have an Audi badge under the side repeater

the Audi badge was only fitted to very early A4's.

So long as the A4 wing matches the era or your S4 one (ie either 1998 to 1999 or 1999 to 2001) then it will be identical.

think i'll have to find a forum member close to me who can try and connect theirs to my car to try and see where the fault lies

Also, out of interest on the doors, will facelift doors fit with no problems? i need to change 2 doors so i just might change all 4 doors and both front wings for full facelift items. Any issues here? Will a non electric window rear door take my electric regulator OK etc?

you can swap all the wings,doors,tailgate etc to facelift with no problems.

thanks for that, whats the difference in the tailgate then? Also will the manual to electric window door scenario work ok?

Tailgate is tricky actually. The facelift tailgate uses electronic pop. Prefacelift has pneumatic lock and mechanical push button to open the tailgate.

Prefacelift locking pump probably wont support the electonic pop either.

rs4 spoiler it is then! i cant see much visual difference anyhow
